96 Boys D1; Team Status

Here's what I know. Please fill in the blanks.

Dallas Texans Red-lost three (more?) top players to FCD Academy. Not aware of any top level replacements. Likely now looking just to fill roster spots. Still will be at top though with 11 it has returning.

Solar-supposedly picked up players from Tejanos and FCD. And rumor also has it a new keeper. Anyone confirm? Not aware of any losses to FCD Academy. Should remain near/at the top.

FCD-lots of changes-coach and players. How many poached by FCD Academy? Will be interesting to see what happens with this squad. Should be top 3 still, as who could possibly overtake?

Andromeda-mostly quiet. Silence is always a good thing in club soccer world, correct? Nahhh. Lets hear some rumors!

DTW-no major changes. Except might Big Red come calling at the last minute looking for bench bodies? And will they go? That could spell trouble for this much maligned group.

Tejanos-only 8 returning players? That does spell trouble. Where will the talent come from to fill the void? How do they spell r-e-l-i-e-f? Could be a long year.

Titans-rumor has it the Titan team will make and keep the spot. But judging by their performance this past weekend, will they be able to compete?

Solar Red-it appears some of the stronger players have been out to other practices. But will they go? Lots of rumbling about this squad last spring. Will it survive?

Dallas Texans Red South/Dallas Texans Red West--new kids in town. Did they bring their D2 rosters? Can those rosters compete in the big show?

More questions than answers. I miss the old TM--more answers than questions!

DTR-I think they lost a total of 4 players but should still be #1

Solar-#2 for now but has closed the gap

FCD-not strong enough to contend for #1 but could be #2

Andro-????

DTW-probaly not as good as DTRS or DTRW

Tej.-outsiders say trouble insider say everything is fine

Titans-if the team they sent to Kyle Owens is their team then they are in big trouble

SR-eggshells or crystal eggs

DTRS-roster looks strong and solid

DTRW-????

SR- Lost their best players, to me they have always been over rated!! It all depends how many kids they r willing to scholarship, we heard the new coach will be the Old OC United Coach, if so: they will improve as this guy is a hard working no non sense coach! If the old coach remains (LM) they will not progress>> Solar Dallas is Stacked, should be in contention to being top three. Andromeda is also stacked they have a hard working coach that will bring them along and the new additions should be a big help. DTR is DTR- great coach and he will manage even with his losses, they should be in the top two. Tejanos- Great coach with so so talent, he will be a contender for the 4th spot, (if rumours r true!) DTRS is too small to play D1, DTRW will make a better impact this year. Titans don't have a chance and they will probably be threading water all year long.

I believe the new Solar keeper is from the FCDB/Titans. Also, several others are rumored to be returning to FCD. It looks rather dubious for the Titans holding their spot.

Texans Red West supposedly has tons of players trying out. They should be just fine in D1.

Texans Red South took down DTW in the Flamefest finals. They will hold their own too.

With possible cherry picking from Big Red and other circumstances, DTW might be the team that suffers from "too many Texans in D1" syndrome.

My observations with FCD is that they are backfilling spots on the BR (former DC) team with D1 and D2 players looking to move higher on the totem pole. They are also practicing with several teams and coaches together with the contingency to create a 2nd D1-worthy team and 2 strong D2 teams. Lots of opportunities for players who want to elevate their status.

It's going to be an interesting year more so than the previous couple. I'm curious to see what the Titan's look like in Sept. and if the Tejano's really can get their act together.

2. Did Texans Red find warm bodies, either from the common populace or from raiding Texans White?

3. Did Tejanos get the roster count up from the remaining 8 to have enough for a team? Same for Solar Red?

4. Speaking of Solar, did the new additions all sign?

5. How many did FCD lose to the Academy? And where did it find roster fillers?

not sure about most teams but DTR will not be top two without those 4(possibly 5) top players missing! lets see how well they do especially without their top scorer I say they will end up 4th or 5th overall,coaching won't save them without talent! FCD has a new coach and some new faces so it shoud be a goof fight between them and Solar for the top spot!!!!!

Even with DTR's losses, its roster remains strong. Although I had not heard they lost 4 or 5 players. I thought just 2. I expect it will still be in the mix for top spot.

DTR was a top 2 team before they made the additions and they should still be one of the top 2 teams next year.

I agree with you that the DTR roster is deep. Admittedly the uncertainty is with what you call "the additions". Can they come close to replacing what was lost and maintaining the roster depth? Only time will tell. Regardless, I would put my money on top 3 still.

With all due respect of the roster this year the players they lost cannot be replaced with equal talent. The team will be in the hunt for titles but it will a bit more difficult.

Have to agree w/True10 on this one...no replacement players can fix those two holes but they do have a lot of solid players that Marcio will have up to the challenge. Everything will be much closer this year among the top 5.

Now thats interesting -- "top 5". Besides the clear top 3, who would be the other 2? And personally, I'm not sure it will be closer for 5 teams. My unfortunate observation is that top 3 continue distancing themselves from the pack. Who might possibly come close?

Are these player from DTR heading to FCD Junior U14? What other clubs did FCD effect?

2 or 3 are heading to the U14 juniors and 1 is with the U16 squad!!!

I agree with the others on that they cannot replace the talent that left! not even close!

Did TxTitans improve during signing, how about SR and AR somebody has to come in 4th?

How about the new boys DTRS and DTRW? Have they improved enough to challenge to be in the top half?
