00, 10, and 18 gone to FCD Academy.
Others staying.
Team will still be very strong. Just not as deep.
Agreed?
OK, onto other teams . . . .
Ok now we know. mykidz is right the team still will be very strong.
Did TxTitans improve during signing, how about SR and AR somebody has to come in 4th?
How about the new boys DTRS and DTRW? Have they improved enough to challenge to be in the top half?

Will we have a team go undefeated again this year? I don't think TXNS Red will...

No. No team will go undefeated this year. Given the changes reported on here thus far, it will be a toss up between DTR and Solar, with FCD in third.
Then there is a big drop to Andro in fourth. After that, who the h_ll knows.
Relegation? My picks--DTRS and Titans.

I think FCD can challenge DTR and Solar, but no team will go undefeated.
Titans look like a relegation team but I think DTRS can keep out of the relegation zone. Maybe DTW or DTRW.

DTRS added at least 6 new players, adding some much needed size. They played well in winning Flamefest over DTW. They should be able to hold their own.

96 Boys D1 Team Status
Have to agree that this is a new dawning for the top 96 boys and due to DTR losing key players I think they will really be challenged.
As far as relegation goes it's tough to say. If the Titans showing in June is anything like the fall/spring they are out for sure...then who knows until we see some of the teams in action since we aren't hearing much from the Tejano, Andro, SR or DTW camps.

Did the Titans really retain the N+1 necessary? Doesn't look like it from the tournament showing but maybe those players were all on vacation

Actually, it's the 75% rule, as opposed to the N+1, (isn't the formula slightly different?) But yeah - good question. It sure seemed like the team at the Kyle Owen was short quite a few regulars. It's hard to imagine them making 75%.
There was another post about an Alliance FC team out of the Arlington league joining FCD and being given a CL bye somewhere into 96. If true, that opening *could* be the anticipated result of FCD receiving the D1 bye back from the Titans, rolling all their teams up one slot, and then giving the vacant bye in D2 to Alliance.
That would be a windfall for the Alliance team. I guess it's not how you play, but who you know?

So, if the above scenario plays out, the team that finished 3rd in Arlington and wasn't invited to challenge into D3 over Memorial Day would slide into D2 and be guaranteed a minimum of 2 yrs in Classic League because they switched names and shirts, and a D3 team that finished 3rd in the challenge tournaments is still on the outside looking in. Nice...

Don't know which is worse - one of those two bottom half D2 FCD teams getting a D1 slot or a non-qualified Arlington team getting a D2 slot. The entire scenario is ridiculous, but it is happening in every age group. I don't think there is any doubt remaining the current bye rules are heavily favoring big clubs - the only debate is whether this an intended or unintended result....

Swindler you are right about Alliance. Unless they pickup plenty of players they are going to CL fodder for 2 years then back to Arlington.

Re: 96 Boys D1; Team Status
It would be interesting to see what would happen if a team doesn't meet the 75% rule then they lose their bye and the place in the division is removed. Then every team just moves up one spot and the bottom spot in D3 is replaced from teams in the challenge games.

That would make too much sense...

Word is that Alliance had a lot of turnover, as many of last year's kids could not afford the higher FCD fees. Generally, heavy turnover is a bad thing, and unless they get some help, I wouldn't expect too much from them this year (as if anyone was).

Re: 96 Boys D1; Team Status
Nothing against them but even with help Alliance is not a D2 team. What I can't understand is why would you want to put a team in the position where they are not competitive. No one benifits, not the club, the team, or the league. Oh I almost forgot, the players don't either but I guess that is not a factor.
