As for D1, it finally looks a little more competitive at the top.

Re: Spring Results
I am curious to know how one of the #99 boys on Ody in D1 is rostered on the D3 team for the Aces #17?
Same boy, same pic.
Did the Aces team fold?

I haven't been affiliated with that AFC team for a couple of years, but they didn't fold. They're solidly mid table in D3 (not that it means anything any more with the new D3 challenge format). I believe the player you mention guest played with ODY over the break, but is still rostered and playing with AFC. ODY probably screwed something up on GotSoccer.

American Eagles 96b White now listed as Andromeda West 96b
Did I miss something? Was this club wide or just this team moving affiliations?

No, no... It's been announced: American Eagles are merging into Andromeda with all teams making the transition by July 1.

Heard Ody absorbed some / many players from 16 Amigos during break. If so, they will tire of the chaos/deception just like all 96 teams before them. Don't see a long relationship.

???? Yeah because the last 96 team only made it 6 six years with the same core players.

Re: Spring Results
Six years is a very long time in club soccer. This core team must have gotten at least some benefit from the coach. Otherwise why stay with the team? Maybe the bonding between parents was so strong they refused to leave the team?

Coach has a long history of losing teams / players when they get old enough to no longer be intimated by his bullying tactics. The last team was no different. No coincidence that all but one player jumped ship.

The coach is a joke, everyone of his teams get relegated to lower divisions, check the facts, check the standings.

Re: Spring Results
My 2 cents can correct me if I am wrong but did he not take his 96 team all the way from PPL2 to classic league division 1 and ended up 4th in the league before the team dissolved? I am certain most coaches in the classic league do not have the same record. His end product is very good, the means to get to it is debatable.Liverpool00/02 wrote:The coach is a joke, everyone of his teams get relegated to lower divisions, check the facts, check the standings.

Re: Spring Results
Actually quite a few coaches have done that in recent times, it's not that difficult with the leagues being watered down due to USSF academy league.

Re: Spring Results
Could you please "name" a few that started at PPL2 or Arlington league and went all the way to D1 classic without the help of the club? I can think of the old Irving Elite that started on Arlington league and ended up in D1. Who else in recent times?Liverpool00/02 wrote:Actually quite a few coaches have done that in recent times, it's not that difficult with the leagues being watered down due to USSF academy league.

Back to the subject, In DI- FCD big brother & lil brother had a great game; it could have gone either way. There were great attacks, great defending, great saves, and in the end a well deserved tie! But all the scores seemed to be pretty close.

Facts; the 96 team had every single player go academy or top D1 teams and were , and are, regarded as well trained, technically sound players. Solar, a successful D1 team signed every single ODY player that came knocking. Fact; many big clubs recruit heavily out of his academy teams, they have for many, many years.

I am sure some will disagree but I don't think the DTR-Solar match was as close as the score. Other than the first 10- 15 minutes DTR dominated possession and shots on goal.
