Mostly just read, just funny, how "I heard" this or that, is so far off base .
Had to comment, maybe people will take some of the posters here with

Could you please "name" a few that started at PPL2 or Arlington league and went all the way to D1 classic without the help of the club? I can think of the old Irving Elite that started on Arlington league and ended up in D1. Who else in recent times?

guameru in u15 has a shot this year if things fall in place but the so called watering down effect hasn't been around as long as he suggests. Moving from ppl/Arlington to d1 would take 3 years minimum.

Ody 2-1 TFC HUH?

Wow, wow……surely TFC had some injuries…… Shocked

Heard Ody absorbed some / many players from 16 Amigos during break. If so, they will tire of the chaos/deception just like all 96 teams before them. Don't see a long relationship.

???? Yeah because the last 96 team only made it 6 six years with the same core players. scratch

Coach has a long history of losing teams / players when they get old enough to no longer be intimated by his bullying tactics. The last team was no different. No coincidence that all but one player jumped ship.

Sounds like a parent whose kiddo couldn't quite hack it on his team, which is fine. No knock, some kids and coaches don't gel. The coach also has a long history of developing highly skilled players with a good soccer IQ. Hate to break it to ya, but the pressure doesn't get easier in college or in life! Having a coach crawl off in your ass was the norm 15-20 years ago in any sport, now we as a society want our kids to be loved and hugged...... and have a bunch of 17-18-19 yr olds that are pusses.
Psychology of Entitlement Era........

I guess I somehow survived the love and hugs of my parents and the praises of my coach. Listen, the militaristic approach is not for all kids and it does not mean that you will be a purrrr when you grow up. Some kids need it but most kids will do fine without it. What were we talking about at the beginning of this thread? Ahh yes surprises on the first day of spring play.
