can't see the purpose. Looks like CL lite. Whats the reason for the new league and how is it any different from the CL?

CL lite? IF the older divisions make, it will take away teams from PPL

that sounds about right, but would those teams still qualify to move up into the CL? If not then it would still even miss the top teams from PPL

CL and NTSSA could blacklist those teams from qualifying for CL. AND, their teams would have to jump through a couple of extra hoops to be allowed to play in USYS/NTSSA-sanctioned tournaments, assuming they aren't booted from NTSSA altogether. (NTSSA doesn't disown teams/clubs that play in SDL or PrimeTime, so that probably won't happen, but the league needs to be sanctioned through US Club Soccer, at the least.)
IF this league joins US Club Soccer, their teams could play in US Club Soccer tournaments and USYS/NTSSA "unrestricted" tournaments. If not, they are like PSA teams that can't play anywhere but PSA.

that's about what I thought. Can see why they have the new league other than money. Maybe if they did something different like a focus on development instead of competition. But as it stands it looks the same as CL and I don't see it doing much

I am curious about the fact that 2 "REC" teams from Dallas East have taken control of the 96' & 97' Div. 1 PPL.
Rayados De Monterrey 97B PPL
Inter-Milan 96B PPL
CL Challenge should open it's eyes outside of PPL and APL. There is obviously some competition outside of these two leagues IMO.

Where do you get your information from? And please define some, i.e 2,3,more? Does that mean some teams are not returning to PPL-or are they playing both?

Yes, I would like to know the same thing.I don't see anywhere on their site that you can see the teams that have signed up.

Just some previous teams that did not make in time for PPL are the ones wanting to participate. I do not know if there is enough teams signed up to make a league. There is not a team that I know of leaving PPL. Does anyone know the rules that apply to a kid playing competitive soccer, if he is allowed to play for 2 different teams under the NTTSA rules.

You can't play for 2 different teams-otherwise kids would play in both Classic and Plano/Arlington.

if this new league is not sanctioned by NTSA, kids could play with whomever they want. The "contracts" and all the BS NTSA rules wouldn't apply. This new league could turn the clock back to when soccer was a sport, not a business. Just imagine, your kid playing with multiple teams, multiple age groups... now we're talking player development!

well... all depends on how the clubs pass the buck to the parents. This league is not part of the usual contract, which means clubs could charge more. Also, you'll have coaches out there that will try to keep their dollars, oops, I mean players, from playing with another team. Parents will need to buck up to these over glorified PE teachers and let their kids play where they want.

Yeah lets make sure they can play in two leagues, throw in some indoor, maybe some extra skills sessions ,tournaments etc. I can smell the burn out smoke already.
