I'll agree with you that tournaments are when it should count; but just about every team uses guests players from other clubs or from within their own clubs that make the results really cloudy.
Define guests? Technically every player is a guest until you sign. That being said, I think more players will start to find a "home" between now and the end of Fall if they haven't already. For the teams that I am familiar with, the same core players seem to be there and maybe a couple of new faces here and there. The core 8-10 players being pretty steady. Some have more of a core group and others not quite as many.

Re: Fall League?
At the academy age I would define a guest player as a kid that doesn't pay the coach or club of that team any kind of fees; likely didn't pay for the tournament fee and doesn't routinely come to that team's weekly practice, AND I'm sure there are exceptions.
I realize you are being facetious in asking for a definition; but there you have it. My BB knows when he is guest playing; it isn't difficult to figure out.
There isn't anything wrong with it; in fact I highly recommend it; it just makes comparing results between teams difficult.

How do you guys find time to take your kid to guest play, different teams, leagues, tournaments...etc?
I can barely take mine to practices, twice a week!

Here is the current 04 EAL Gold teams that are playing this Fall. We will limit the league to 11 teams to provide a balanced schedule -- EAL provides a 10 game season. If your team is at the caliber of these Gold teams and would like to fill the last two spots please PM me. We also have a very strong 04 silver league again this season with many teams already signed up.

Don't forget futsal residency 4 times a week. If you can't do all soccer all the time, you are just going to have to accept that other people obviously love their child more than you love yours.

I guess if you put it in term of soccer, then I love my child less than others in here. But if because of soccer, and your child fail in life, then I love my child more than any of you all.

Re: Fall League?
EAL 04 Boys has had an incredible turnout of of the most talented teams register this season with almost 25 teams for the Fall. We are wrapping up registration today and looking to turn the team list over to our scheduler.
If you are an 04 team or a very talented 05 team looking to play up and are unsure if your league will make or you havent selected a league then you need to register with our league today. Go to GLASA EAL page for registration.
A Reminder on the league details
1. 10 games in a season
2. 11v11; 30 min halves
3. Games played at Railroad Park and Chinn Chapel
4. $600 per team (referee fees included in cost)
5. Gold and Silver Divisions
6. Extremely flexible scheduling
7. Sunday afternoon games
8. Games start Sunday September 8th

Re: Fall League?
Maybe this is the reason teams are leaving EAL, because the organization can't get the freaking schedules out.. The only team playing there are the local ones who do t feel like driving anywhere else!

Re: Fall League?
Thank you for your interest and concern in EAL. This season will be our best season ever in terms of competition and number of teams. This fall we have 21 very competitive U10 teams (13 gold and 8 silver) playing in the league.
Our entire seasons schedule will be live tomorrow late in the day as we have been working to process all of coaches and teams conflicts.

Re: Fall League?
IT looks like the competition is going to be split pretty even between the EAL and Primetime leagues this year with no league being able to claim a monopoly on all the top teams:
EAL LEAGUE
FC Dallas Gomez
Texans Pomykal
Rayos
Titans Angell (Formerly TFC)
Texans South Hernandez
Solar Partain
FC Nationals (formerly Texans FW)
Solar Chelsea Farley
Texans North Rosales
Primetime League:
Solar Red
FCD Gomez
LP Rase Boys 04
Dallas Rush Gall
FCD Mansfield
FCD Premiere Thomas
Solar Tarrant.
Seems like a pretty even split...

Re: Fall League?
EAL shows Gall, Solar Tarrant and Gomez as well; besides Solar Red only playing Primetime; I don't think it's an even split. EAL should be a blast.
Did teams drop out as coast2coast suggested or is that poster just making sh*t up, again?

I took the EAL list from the one posted a few posts up by EAL League advisor. Looks like Gall, Solar Tarrant and Gomez will do both. EAL has Farley and Pomykal and Rosales that Primetime does not, but Primetime has SR, LP Rase 04B and FCD Mansfield ( made Semis at Plano). Overall it does not matter much, but in the years past it seemed the top teams were all consolidated in one league. Definitely not the case this year.

Re: Fall League?
So what you will see is that the teams playing in both leagues will play the stronger players more in the Primetime games and the kids in need of more development will play in the EAL league... Not to say that these teams aren't going for the win, because only a fool would believe that but they will certainly have the strongest of the teams on Saturday...So while teams may not have truly left EAL, there will be a more of a difference than in yrs past.
@Allen04: Just as before no "sh*t" has been made up, so throw away the sour grapes because they're no good for your whine!

That doesn't even make sense. Why would you think the strongest teams are on Saturday?
