Odyssey and Dallas Texans South will play in the finals. The Lightning were strong last season, but lost four starting players to DT South who are already a proven D1 team and who won SDL, Primetime and the SDL Cup tournament. Odyssey is arguably the number 2 team in the state and top 8 in the nation so DT South will have a real challenge on their hands since their last match with Odyssey and I would expect this to be the most exciting game of the tournament.

Lightning 03B will have to overcome the loss of some of its players, but it would be unrealistic to count them out of the final so long as they don't have to beat Odyssey to get there.

Tejano's are scrappy and they tied DT South in the Sunday Primetime League so they are definitely a threat if they play their best game.

the better question is, how many 02's will Mexico FC have playing on their 03 team this weekend? When the 02s play, they are a really good team. when they do not, they are pretty average.

Um...yeah...not sure about that #8 in the nation thing (or #2 in the state).  Quite sure Odyssey is somewhere well below #1 and somewhere above "garbage", but don't have much data to narrow it down any more than that.

This all assumes the Ody manager gets their CL/NTSSA paperwork done in time as well.  For an unemployed boulangerie owner you think he'd have more time to cross the i's and dot the t's, but the low-grade narcolepsy seems to limit his motivation.

Good question oddie. I say 5. Since they are allowed 5 guest players. If I remember right at Copa Espn they used illegal players and the parents of the kids who were benched reported the team for using illegal players.

Ooook. What I really find most interesting about your prediction is a possible spitting/boxing rematch between Sal and Paddy. This time....they'll be taking the ring in the massive weight division and the 03 age group......stay tuned

I feel blindsided by the question since  I was witness to the previous event and I didn't even consider the potential for a rematch with the 03B teams (oops I thought you only go to fisticuffs for select teams).

Frankly it makes for an epic confrontation both on and off the pitch as the BB's struggle against each other while the coaches duke it out on the sidelines. I will say this, both of these coaches won't shy away from a fight and frankly they can both bring it.

As for The question of Odyssey and their right to be considered a top team, I would say they answered that question at the SuperCopa and in the Premier League.

Every time I look at this forum I just can't help but laugh at people who like to trash talk the Mexico FC 03 team. Come out & look at us play FYI both teams will be playing this tournament the 03 & 02 Mr.oddie & Soccer 27. Get the facts & then talk!

Maybe they are confusing your team with the recent results from the Mexican National Team? The few times I have seen Mexico FC play they might be a better option than what the national team is putting out there right now. Especially at coach. Good luck this weekend.

Yea in the same tournament that Texas Lightning got caught cheating with 3 older players when they played the first game against Castro's team after they had the roster checked. Everybody found out about that. That should have automatically disqualified them.

Too bad we didn't get to finish the game. I would never protest, just bitch about older players on this forum. I think it was 1-0 before the rain....

That's why I don't bitch about something if I'm not sure about it.. I don't mind paying to protest if I know for sure the other team has older players, because I know for sure we don't do it & I think it should be fair & square, plus those older kids can hurt the smaller ones! This last game sure was going to be the most competitive one & that's what we like competition. If a team isn't competitive enough than it makes for a boring ass game...
