3. DT Pomykal - finished second in EAL last Spring, beat Solar. Showed well in supercopa, but not good result in August tournament in california. Played 11 vs 11 last year. Hearing rumors they may have lost a player or two.
4. DT North Rosales - lost in the semis to FC Dallas Gomez in a close game over memorial day. Played 11 vs 11 last year which will help their adjustment.
5. Dallas Rush Gall - finished 4th in EAL last spring, has had mixed results in tournaments. No 11 vs 11 experience may hurt them early in the year.
6. Solar Chelsea Farley - finished 5th in EAL last spring, strong result in supercopa, havent seen their name in any tournaments since. Played 11 vs 11 last year. Hearing rumors they may have lost a player or two
7. Texans South Hernandez - walked thru EAL silver last year, now in Gold. Lost to Solar in League challenge Cup in the semis. Very dangerous team
8. Liverpool RASE - have been playing up a lot of the summer to help adjust to switch to 11 v 11.
9. FC Dallas West Mansfield - played in several summer tournaments and beat some teams in the top 10.
10. Solar Partain - poor results in Spring EAL league, but showed well in league challenge cup by taking the trophy

I think 1 and 2 are about right. From 3 to 8, it is a toss up. All of these teams are weak in the midfield, and back. That's what I saw from last year. Hopefully, this year they can recruit better players. To win the game, a team must have strong midfielders, and defenders. You can have bunch of kids who can do fancy footworks, but then can not win the ball in the middle, or defending an attack, in the end they lose the game. We shall see, who is the best team at the end of the season. Smile

I say DTN 2-1. Should be a close game.

It's a fun team to watch. Nice 2 touch passing all over the field. But I have seen those rosales boys play and that might be a little too much for the girls to handle

all I can say is WOW the boys game is fast. Never seen the girls play at that pace for that long. I am expecting a much different result in the finals

Is that Rosales's team? I thought they went under the name DT Manchester. I was told this was not his team playing. Just curious.

Those girls were rough, plus they were also big & tall. Did not look like 04s. Anyways! They were good competition though! Lost to PKs!

1. Not all the girls on this team are big and tall.
2. They were no rougher than your boys.
3. I'm sure the coach would've been pleased to have a roster check. We noticed "new" faces on your team in the final and duplicated numbers but, whatever!
4. Does it really take 5 LOUD dads to coach a team.

Otherwise, well done to the BB's and DD's for playing a great game!

The only proof here is the parents of 04 girls are just as tweaked as the parents of 04boys. Overly competitive at too early an age.

Whatever it is that needed to be proved makes no difference.

just throwing this out there. I'm pretty sure we all realize that girls start their growth spurt before boys, and this is the age at which that happens. That would mean these girls would be and should be approximately taller, and yes, sometimes larger, at this age. Just sayin...

It was a great game overall!! My son is one of the tallest ones on the team & you all had 5 girls that were taller then he was, they were as tall as my older son who is 12.

Our girls had a fabulous time, they enjoyed playing the boys. I just hate for someone to accuse them and their parents of cheating! As I said, it was a great game, there should be no animosity.

I didn't think it was a physical game at all. There wern't even that many fouls called. It was a nice competative game between 2 groups of kids who showed alot of heart to keep fighting and working when they were down. It was a good enviornment on the sidelines with all of the parents being very nice. RASE is a big team over all but also has some small girls. On average I would say Rosales is a small team so average height goes with rase but the speed advantage definitely goes to rosales.

It was a great game and a great enviornment from the parents side with no over competative parents.

I have said before if RASE can go into a game with the boys and not waste the boys time and make it a hard fought competative game then it's mission accomplished. Thanks to the Rosales boys for a great set of games our team will be better because of it.

and anybody who has seen them play knows it was the regular roster as it has been the same for quite awhile. I doubt the other 04 girls teams playing before or after would have let us slide a player or two in. And I feel a little jealous. How come nobody is accusing us of sneaking in a 06 player for my little DD

Ok, so. Now that our pointer fingers are checked. Would you say that one of the top girls teams is just as good as one of the top boys teams at this age?

IMO the boys had better speed but the girls passed the ball better.
