is FC Dallas DA program with Frisco ISD going to continue?
Is FC Dallas going to continue their program with the Frisco Independent School District next year?
IE:Enrolling students to a Frisco school and taking them to school after training in the mornings (or taking players from school to training in the afternoon - depending on the age group- )
Thanks,

No apparent reason. I did not hear anything to the contrary and it is a great program. I am just checking to see if there is anything like that in the air or not. Houston Dynamo does not have the school program in Houston, and they are still doing a great job.
Last year players were attending an examplary rated high school in Frisco, but switched to a lower rated school this year. Grapevine was that some players were not studying enough and lowering the overall performance of the school; hence the change to a different HS this year.

good point! i think with other DA programs starting to provide free or greatly reduced DA team training and only training 3-4 times per week; you may see less and less emphasis on residential programs. most kids would prefer to stay in current school system

Can the FCD players really be that bad of students that they bring the whole school down? I mean, if there are 30 players from that academy on a school, surely that few of a group won't impact the entire grade of 1000 or so. That's assuming they're all in the same grade.

maybe the school without the kids are teetering on the edge of being bad and those added bad grades sent them over the line.

The move had nothing to do with exemplary ratings, rather it had to do with total student count - both schools were exemplary rated. The other high school was on the borrder of going 5A (now 6A) and moving to the smallest Frisco school kept all of the schools in the same athletic district.

That sounds more like it. Leave it to the haters to make up some illogical rumor just cuz they want to disparage FCD or it's players.

It's a great program, and definitely beneficial to those students who live in a less desirable district as mentioned above!
As soccerdadrandy said, most kids would prefer to stay in their own district. We won't go to FCD because our current school has better opportunities than FISD high schools. While soccer is incredibly important in our home, education (begrudgingly) still trumps it.
