well now that prediction most likely this is a great question I guess ALL current D3 teams will just stay and ALL PPL/APL challenging teams will get a partial refund with a "theres always next season" card Rolling Eyes

That would suck.
"If" this did happen, I wonder how many of these teams would fold, or their best players leave for CL teams.
Or how many D3 coaches, who are #s 4 through 10 will vigorously scour APL or PPL for those star players.
"IF" it plays out like that.

I hope they do everything possible to get the games in. Richland and Russell Creek fields can take a little extra wear and tear for something this important to many players, teams and clubs. As long as it's just wet and not dangerous for the players, then let 'em play! Any cancelled games in the first weekend should be made up at night during the week.

They should rent/use area synthetic fields at local high schools, etc. just like FC Dallas did for their last showcase that had lots of rain.

Challenge games for Sunday and Monday are cancelled, with makeups beginning Tuesday. Today's unfinished 2:00 games must be replayed in entirety. Reworking schedule for release sometime Sunday. (from tournament schedule home page)

Richland College field status went from "open" to "pending" (on the classic league website). I guess we will find out shortly if the challenge games scheduled for tonight will actually be played.

No way fields are accessible today. We had record amounts of rain in the last weeks, the soil is so saturated with water, I can't even walk on my lawn without leaving holes in the grass! They should make arrangements with the schools and use their turf fields.

I completely agree. I just found it funny that the fields went from open to pending.

The forecast shows rain everyday this week. I don't see how the fields could possibly be playable this weekend.

Richland and MoneyGram now are showing closed on the Classic League site. The games scheduled for tonight have been moved to Thursday.

Good luck with that! They have to find alternate fields, possibly turf fields. Call all the ISD in the area and check the availability of HS fields.
