My BB has two left feet and moves like molasses, but I am encouraged by this.

Ermmm...???
I understand saying this when marketing for a business, but in reality, you know this really isn't true. Right?

In fact many of the 7 year olds parents would complain if the practice went over by 15 minutes.
That's funny right there. Saw a dad this summer yell at the coach "You said practice was over at 7!" and then processed to take his son's hand and pull him off the field while grumbling how ridiculous it was that practice wasn't over. Kid was an 03.

It is true. The problem is, no one has committed to this type of training methodology yet. Obviously, there are many more factors that go into becoming a world class player, but any kid can become a world class talent if they are given this kind of focused individual training every day for 10 years.

Re: Soccer development in the U.S.
It's not only happening in US Soccer, I went to a Rough Riders semi pro base ball game recently and calculated that 50% of the players were from Latin America, mostly Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
Countries so poor that the batters train swinging at sunflower seeds and bottle caps with broomsticks while our players use $400 oversized bats and get beat out by these guys with better technical skills.
