Is Club Player Pass good or bad for NTX soccer
Club Player Pass
Is the Club Player Pass good for NTX soccer scene because it facilitates development opportunities and provides cover for injuries enabling coaches to carry smaller rosters for the season?
Or is it bad for NTX soccer scene because it is abused by the big clubs to protect their byes and rosters are still large with players having to sit while CPP ringers take their playing time?

Bad is "winning" so far. Any more voters or opinions to share?

Re: Club Player Pass
I think the theory is sound, but the loopholes are just too large. It's too easy to roster good players down a team and CPP them "up" all year long.

Re: Club Player Pass
I know this is a singular example, but I wish there was a mechanic in place that allowed for goalkeepers to play on 2 teams so they could continue to develop their outfield skills as well. I'm not a fan of a 10 yr old "specializing" as a keeper, but the intense competition of Classic league pretty much demands it. I think a "designated" keeper should be able to play on a second team within the club at a different level as long as he only plays keeper for 1 team and specifically cannot play keeper for the second. I mean it's all about development, right?
Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread, just a thought.

Re: Club Player Pass
If my BB were employed by the player pass system, my vote would be an emphatic "GOOD!". My vote would only go this way because it positively impacts his individual development.
If my BB was not employed by the player pass system, (even if he was a full-time starter regardless) my vote would be an emphatic "BAD!" Legal or not, it still sounds of cheating.
If this should be about development, I suspect a large majority of people think that player pass negatively impacts their BB's development.

Re: Club Player Pass
No question it's BAD for NTX. But a few tweaks and its worth saving. A big club has the opportunity to field larger rosters so they can withstand the inevitable injuries/conflicts. It's the smaller clubs that truly need it as they can typically only meet minimum roster requirements. Make the player pass available only to smaller clubs and I'm all for it. You'll find the smaller clubs will have limited ability to abuse the rule even if they wanted to.
