they really should limit the teams playing up to no more than maybe 2 or three. this one has 6 out of 20 and that is too much. play at your own age level.

If a younger team is choosing to play up, let them. Maybe they are looking for some competition. If your team is good, then it is an easy win. If their not, you just lost to a younger team & should rethink before signing this summer. affraid

Looking at the accepted teams list looks like 4 of the teams playing up will be playing in the rec division. Looks like the combined all 01 and 02 rec teams into one age group.

By that standard 90% of all parents would be rethinking if their team played the Texans South 02 boys.

Has Texans South 02 played against Vitesse? If so, what was the score? I could not find a record of that match but I did find that Texans South 02 lost to the 2nd DT South 01 (not Adames) so at least one of those two teams is part of the happy 10% cheers

DTS 02 was supposed to play them in Primetime this season but Vitesse had to reschedule the game & then opted to not reschedule. Why? scratch

Only Vitesse can answer that question. They did, however, play Primetime fall 2010 & DTS 02 won that game.

Densk 01 played this 02 team last year in a tourney and I know Densk 01 beat them 3 or 4-1. They are a good team but it does the 01's absolutely no good to play an 02 team. There are way too many other good teams to play. Cant speak for the other 90 percent but looking forward to Solar Red and Solar and DTS 01. Always a good game with those clubs..

There are 12 01' teams total & you are mentioning just 3 teams you want to play. If your team gets stuck in a bracket playing some of the other 01' teams that aren't "top teams", why not rethink playing them? It does you no good playing a weaker 01' team. Im sure DTS 02' will give every team a good game. Maybe a better game than some of the other 01' teams.

Main reason i mention these specific teams is we have grown accustomed to playing these teams every season, we played DTS 01 to a tie. The other two were not scheduled against us due to the amount of teams in SDL DIV I. Wished they were. We enjoy playing those teams. DTS 02 is a good team. Again just miss playin some of the teams we have grown to have good games with. But we will play any team that comes our way including the ones that our boys face oversees this summer.

anyone care to rank the tourn......just curious what others thought.....always fun to try and figure out how the teams will finish but of course they are 8-10 so you never know how it will end up

Doesn't make sense to me to enter your two top teams in the same division, especially if there is a silver division for the 02s to play. Maybe if the teams had different coaches, but i don't belive that's the case with these 2 teams. I would love to be on the sidelines if these 2 teams have to play each other. seems to me it would be a very uncomfortable situation for all involved...especially the parents on the sidelines. Ha! Ha!

I don’t see an issue with it, its only a game win or lose you move on learn from the game and try to improve the next game. I’m pretty sure these boys know each other. They will play hard against each other and when the game is over the game is over. After the game they will go off and play Mario Cart on Nintendo DSI XL or 3D. It only a game!!!

the issue is both teams are coached by the same coach (correct me if i'm wrong). who will coach the game if these teams play each other? i actually hope it happens & we don't have a game scheduled at the same time so i can see if its as you say "only a game" just don't think this is something the coach should allow. will be interesting though if it happens.

@just4kickz, I kinda agree with you. Have seen the DT South Adames play? They're a far superior 02 team that's on the same level as any 01 good team. But I disgree with you stating that just because one of these teams may lose to an 02 team, that the players should "rethink" about signing this summer. I do agree that if a younger team wants to play up and they have the skills to do so, by all means, let them play.
