And the only conspiracy I believe in is that the big name clubs conspired to take all ya'lls money and laugh all the way to the bank cause wins and losses and rankings seem to be the priority of most parents in hear rather than development.

Dad, I think my three days have passed. Just because I chose to register a few days ago, does not mean that I have not previously been following threads and should not imply that I just came off the farm. You mentioned earlier that the 01 clubs should fear playing the 02 South club. I asked myself why would you think that and responded. If you thought that it would affect their recruiting, my response was that it would not really hurt the top dog clubs such as DT-Densk, SR, S-Partain or those not in the Carey (FCD- premier, FWFC, FCD/Andro-Bazan) since those clubs have the majority of their rosters set. While there are no "signings" completed until July 1, you are sorely mistaken if you think there are tryouts or that the teams have not set themselves up. The only issue for these particular clubs is whether they will lose some of their top players to another such club as the secret recruitment schemes and ploys are made. These top dogs likely have a roster of "14" with a couple of spots open in hopes of luring another of their competitors top players or that one "stud" you mention that comes out of no where.

I assumed that being as astute as you seem to think you are that you would have recognized such and came up with the QT notion. Again, why would a top 01 team fear the 02 South? Could it be the fear of effect on its QT seed? My response again was NO. QT seeding for those at the top is essentially done. CL may wrangle on who is 2 vs 3 vs 1, but the top 5 seeds are in and the tourney season , especially against an 02 team, will not affect a place in the top 5.

I doubt the 01 teams: the boys, the coaches, the parents, really fear playing DTS 02. They may not want to deal with the sideline raucus as has been discussed by others, but I doubt they fear. How about another conspiracy theory: It was the DTS 02 / 01 coach who created the change because he did not want to have to pit the teams against one another, did not want to demonstrate his favoritism for his 02 team over the 01, and actually feared recruitment issues... just sayin.

Tmooney, its obvious you didn't read Futbolista's explaination on why DTS 02' moved to the Silver division. It was a favor done for a certain 01' team (anyone care to guess who?)who wanted to play in the Gold & needed someone to change places with. It had nothing to do with favoritism for either of his teams. Just a good coach doing a favor for another coach. As for recruitment fears, DTS 01' has no fear of this. Watch them play & you will see why. cheers

Whoa there with your conspiracy theory. I as a parent on this team know that this change was done as a favor to the Liverpool coach. He is a friend of our coach so the change was done. Now the comment that you said about him favoring the 02's is totally incorrect. The 01's take priority over the 02's just like his select teams take priority over his academy teams.

I get it...coach doing another coach a favor...none of the insane bs coming from the 02 DTS parents. It is a shame to have such a talented and promising team with such a disappointing sideline. Everyone that lives in Lewisville please take note...the obnoxious sound you hear at 10:30 on saturday morning is NOT your alarm clock or the tornado siren...it is just coming from field #1 at Lake Park...go back to sleep (if you can).

Elnino, is that what it sounded like when a little 02' team put a whooping on your bb's team? What a shame, holding a grudge for that long. I get why you call yourself el nino.. lol!

You just clearly showed your intelligence, and completely validated what so many posters have referenced regarding your sons team! Winning or losing DOES NOT justify any obnoxious parent behaviour on the sideline! Period. All you are doing is embarrassing your son, team and club! I know this is a stretch...but, ask yourself what it must sound like for your 9 yo bb working hard out on that field. I truly want to see DTS 02 win the silver division! I will cheer for them at any game. Go DTS 02 boys...represent well!!!

So, with all of the banter that went back and forth at the end of the week, how was the tournament? I have not seen comments or scores on the forum to indicate how the 01 boys did in the gold division. Surprises? Good games? Did visiting players, if there were such, make a difference? Eager to hear your thoughts.

Solar Red and Solar Partain won pool play (Red over Texans Densk, Partain over DTS). Solar Red beat DTS in semis 1-0, Densk beat Partain in semis 6-0. Densk wins tourney 3-1 over Solar Red. Only team that I know had multiple new players was Partain -- whether they were guest players or new team members, I don't know. Overall, some excellent games between the top 4 teams.

Thanks scrdad. I appreciate the update. How did the team that moved up from silver division do? How would the 02 DTS team have fared? Have your say 02 parents... Many more tournaments this spring/summer.

02's played well.....it was pretty easy up untill the FC Dallas game in the finals.....I think the 02's thought they were going to roll over but to FC Dallas credit they played outstanding!!!.....good movment of ball and really played tough.....From all the 01 teams we have played I can tell you the FC Dallas team has a chance to make D1 if they keep playing like that.

I sure would have liked to see us vs solar red and DTD but maybe another time. Those guys would have prob beaten us but I can assure you it would have been a really good game.....Good luck to everyone in qualifiers!!!!

I believe the team that moved up was Liverpool Callaghan, and they went 0-3 for the tournament.
