If coach Adames's team's in there, it's going to be a good tournament. I don't know this guy personally, but from what I've seen of his 02 team and heard of his '03 teams, these kids make tournaments worth watching (not taking anything away from FC Dallas 03 South).

Age doesn’t matter if the kid/kids can play that all that matters, I think most of the older teams just want good competition.

That's true. These 02s need to be pushed due to the fact that they have only one more year of academy and then they'll will be select next year for the fall of 2012.
Good luck to all of the kids. Hopefully I'll be in Dallas to catch some of the games. My brother's stepson plays for one of the FC Dallas 02 teams.
FCD seems to be fielding a LOT of teams around here. They may be the future dominant club in 3 to 5 years.
Goooooooo FCD!!!!

Don't see DTS 03 in it but I see Solar Gold 03. I think that
03 team will have a better tournament than some of the 02s.

Lots of talented youngsters. I hope they all walk away having fun. Most of the time you see more disgust and anger on the parents' faces than the kids. After a while most of these kids start mimicking their parents.

personally, I don't think it is all that extraordinary for teams playing up 1 year to be very competitive or win games/tournaments. For the younger teams that are playing up, I would suspect in many cases the actual age difference between some of the boys on each team could be as little as 1 day to a couple of months on the JUL|AUG dividing line. In the Carey 02B Division, Solar Gold 03 was very competitive and made it to the Finals. I know some of their boys are Pure02's and at least one has an AUG2002 birthday. Boca02B won the tournament. They had at least a couple of 04 & 03 Boys on their team. Unfortunately, the younger teams playing up has everything to gain from the outcome of these matches. Not so much for an older team.

Good point age really doesn’t matter; I think parents make it a big deal and it’s not.
