Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
Our team is using players from within the club only because we have families that financially could not afford the trip. So technically our team won't be as strong as usual at u10.

I don't know if Barcelona was invited or not.
Pats will be borrowing internally, United has two very good teams so they may consolidate and borrow. Albion is not bringing any guest players. Nomads have 15 players on their squad so they won't be borrowing.
Interesting note that Nomads are planning on getting a charter bus to the game. That will be a LONG bus ride both ways.

Not sure if Barca were invited to the tournament or not. They are a very good team and would have added to the competitiveness of the event.
In CalSouth we play 8v8 during league play and most standard tournaments until U11. The field dimensions can differ slightly but for U9-U10 they are typically in the neighborhood of 40-50 wide x 70-80 long.
As for guest players I'd imagine that some teams may be bringing them to strengthen their squads, but we won't be. All of the boys from last season are anxiously awaiting the tournament.

Yellowboots I thought I remember that one of the Solar Red or Chelsea teams would be going. Is that right?

Found where the Southlakes team played up in a 11v11 tournament this past weekend. Can't tell much from the results, however, found their gotsoccer page and saw that they have played the other Oklahoma teams in the late fall. So with that data point I updated the "Southwest" Region rankings.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
As a note, FCD Premier in the U10 TPBL, has 2 games remaining and is not reflected in the results. One of the losses is shown as a 3-0 forfeit loss to LPFC, but the game has yet to be played. Overall, the top 4-5 teams here are all very competitive and have a tendency to continue to switch around in that top spot. It will be nice to play against other clubs versus one another every week for the past 4 - 5 years.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
As far as the CA teams
Nomads and Pats MV are playing in the SCDSL Spring League currently.
http://www.scdslspring.com/schedules/2013SpringLeague/58095994.html
United played in SCDSL Flight 2 last year along with Pats MV
http://www.scdslsoccer.com/schedules/Fall2012/47827750.html
I don't think Albion is playing in any Spring Soccer leagues.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
During the spring our boys typically play indoor or futsal leagues instead. We also try to get involved in as many small sided tournaments as possible to work on developing more of the technical aspects of the game.
The boys are currently playing up a division in futsal under the name "Brazil":

Does anyone know who the 24th team will be? Las Vegas had a team on the site but it was pulled like the Chicago team. The Magic came back but not theat team. I know in the U10 bracket they have one spot tied to winning a different tournament. Not sure about the U9 bracket. Does anyone know anything?

I just went to the site and I counted 23 teams under u10 team list . The 24th team I have seen on advertisements and been told will be filled by the winner of the U90 tournament in a couple weeks.

They added some to the U10 recently it seems. Including the Vegas U10 group. I wonder if they will be back in the U9 group soon?

Update from weekend. Looks like the Fishtown team will be knocked out of Penn State Cup on Goal difference if I read it correctly. I think you have win your bracket to advance to the round of 4.

I am the coach of Fishtown we are replaying the game Saturday.Just a little bit of info The 2 top teams in the state Lower Merion and fishtown were drawn together in the Pa state cups.We have won every premiere tournament in our region only losing 1 time,in the past year .We lost 2-1 to Lower Merion in The Pa indoor state cup final. We won 11 tournaments in 2 years so if you don't think we belong your in for a rude awakening when we get out there. So Cal Bicycle wrote:Update from weekend. Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
No offense intended. I think all the teams are excited to play teams from across the country.
I was mistaken in regards to the tiebreaker. Good luck in your game!
1. Winner of Head-to-Head Competition 2. Goaldifferencecumulativeallgames
Maximum + or - 4 goals/games
3. Leastgoalsallowed(totalofallpreliminarygames)
4. Playoff – if after applying the three criteria listed above two
or more teams remain tied then a playoff will be set up to determine the bracket winner.

That's mature, coach!
If you think you are going to come on to the NTX forum as a coach with an attitude like that, and not be taken to task then YOU are in for a rude awakening. I would expect it from parents, but take the high road coach!

Wow, these forums make me appreciate my coaches and my parents. I guess we don't mind being underrated, we are looking forward to the tournament and the competition. We will be playing with our regular roster, We will have to bring a couple of guest players from our own club, as we play 6 v. 6 in Kansas and our roster is just nine players. Wondering what the quality of referees will be?

There is another large rec and select tournament that weekend. The Ross Stewart Invitational. It is a big deal on the rec side as to be accepted a team must have placed 1st or 2nd in a previous tournament. Referees will be streched thin and you will get alot of leftovers as the older games there will pay more. Don't expect much as older more experienced refs do not work for years at their craft to then ref U9 and U10. RS has U10-U17 rec and competitive and U9-10 Academy. The older rec and select games will pull all the better refs.

Do refs prefer the older kid games or do they prefer money? It looks like they are going to great lengths to make this tournament special, and I can't imagine them being outbid for good refs. Now, if good refs prefer older rec and select games even if they pay less then you have a point. I guess Supercopa will be forced to call my 14 year old daughter to ref games
