State Cup groupings

I know there's someone out there that can figure out how many groups there will be and which team goes where. I would assume two 4 team groups, two 3 team groups.

I believe you are correct on the groups. I think they will use a "ribbon" technique, and the groups will be:

Group A
1. FC Dallas Youth 96B Premier
5. Solar Chelsea 96B
9. Dallas Texans SC 96B Red West

Group B
2. FC Dallas Youth 96B
6. Dallas Texans SC 96B White West
10.Solar Chelsea Red 96B

Group C
3. Dallas Texans SC 96B Red Dallas
7. Dallas Texans SC 96B Red South
11.Dallas Texans SC 96B White

Group D
4. TFC 96B
8. Odyssey SC 96B Blue
12.Real Independiente 96B White

Then, I am unertain into which two groups the last 2 teams will be placed...

Actually, as I think about it. That isn't a ribbon, as I previously illustrated.

Yep, that is how I think it will go.

ok... so IF it looks like this, seeds 3 & 4 play three games but the competition is easier.
I would think that seeds 1 & 2 would get the lesser opponents; including having to only play two games.
Is there another technique for seeding that we can speculate with?

DTR is currently 2nd and FCD Youth 3rd, why are they seeded the other way around?

I assume some teams will appeal the seeding.
DT White from D2 were ahead of Solar Red after 9 games but the seedings show different.
I thought the seeding was based on the Fall standings, first 9 games, not the current standings.

That is my understanding as well - seeding for State Cup determined from first 9 games through the fall season

Also - regarding appealing your seeding? Won't do any good - NTX is pretty anal when it comes to state cup. Their way or the highway.

Usually the managers discuss the seeding at the meeting and decide if current or fall standings should be used.
