For some midweek excitement:

Well, in the Gold Division, I will take Ayses Gold v. Houstonians FC in the Finals.
Houstonians FC to win! Certainly, the big match up should be DTS and Houstonians in the semis.

Silver A - Meja all the...kidding.
I have to think the TSC hurricane teams will meet in semis, so only 1 will be able to advance, but probably 2 best teams.
So I will take TSC hurrican Blackwell v. FCD Central Blue in Finals. (Not putting much money on ny pick)

Wow...I see you are still upset about the game this weekend. As pwn had already told you the other day, there were missed calls both ways in that game. The Meja players deserved that win and outplayed FCD. It is not like it was a one point game that can be questioned because of a missed call. This was a 4-1 game that had multiple goals that were earned not given because of a bad or missed call. And by the way Meja 99 boys won this tournament last year, but MEJA 99 BOYS TAYLOR (TXN) is not the same Meja 99 boys that FCD played this past Saturday.

I said I was bitter, I said the Refs were not the cause for the loss....AND that the ref sucked AND that the missed calls certainly favored Meja (is that pronounced MAY-JAH, MEE-JAH, MEH-HA???) Anyway...

2 blown calls directly created 2 goals...you cannot argue that. The early Red Card led to boys being deflated...So like I said, FCD did not play up to the capabilities. But, If I were on the winnig team, I would still send the ref a fruit basket or something nice. Good news is, I did keep my frsutrations in on the ride home.

The yellow on the keeper was for coming in cleats up on a slide tackle outside the box and the red card was for retaliation kicking another player in the stomach with his cleats. I would hardly say that those were blown calls, but I am sure you would argue that. That still leaves two goals that the ref didn't "give" Meja. Everyone is going to have their own perspective on the calls so it is not worth continued arguing. The only reason I said anything is because you brought it up with your “just kidding” comment. You are obviously still upset about the game. I as I am sure many others would agree it is not very sportsman like to diminish a win for the kids no matter which team won.

I will say this. I thought the FCD players showed class after the game shaking hands with the Meja players and the refs.

I was actually referring to a hard foul on FCD player who was injured as a result (sat out remainder of game), the ref did not call foul...our players and coach were yelling to kick the ball out, Meja played on and scored easy goal.

Thanks for your continued interest in keeping the topic going, but again, reread my comments...simply say scoreboard and move on. Meja won (4th reference of Meja winning).

This is not to take something away from the players who won the game...the point I made was the Ref sucked, made bad calls all over AND Meja benefited more from those bad calls.

The great thing about league play is you guys will get to see each other again.

Opinions on referees are usually dependent on which color you are cheering for.

Highlight of my weekend was my BB getting punched in the face by a "Big Club " player. Just a simple foul called w/ no card. No biggie, scores game tying goal then tells player who hit him"Deal with it"! Lol
