U13's also did well the first day with the only loss recorded by Odyssey.
- Odyssey 2 vs Tigres 3
- Solar Chelsea 1 vs Kent School 1
- FC Dallas Premier 1 vs Angeles Soccer 0
- Dallas Texans 3 vs Club Mana 3
Good luck to all age groups.

Cool!
2 ties, 1 win, & 1 loss.
Hopefully Odyssey will bounce back.

Maybe in years past...but 6-0, 9-0, and 12-0 all in one bracket doesn't make one think vetting is as good as previous years.

These teams probably are dominant in their area.
But playing against very competitive teams, they are being exposed in one of the largest youth tournaments in the U.S..
LP Fagen is in and they're proving WHY they should be in.
Hell of a show that Mr. Fagen's boys are putting on.
They're my pick to win it all.

Agreed there have been some very lopsided scores, particularly in that bracket and also in other age groups where vetting looks to have failed.
My point on margin for error was more related to the fact that there are 7 brackets in U14. Only the 7 bracket winners and 1 wild card will progress. So have to top the bracket and with the 3 points for a win system it is hard to recover from a poor result. So no room for error.

Saw the Liverpool Elite team play last year at Dallas Cup. Is it basically the same team or has there been a lot of player turnover?

They all look like the same kids from last year.
Maybe 1 or 2 new kids.
But no big change.
I guess all of those tournaments and NPL games paid off.
Whatever Coach Fagen's doing, it's working.
So kudos to him.

Thanks. There's a lotta guest players floating around this tournament. Never know who might show up! Heard Sporting United showed up with someone in their second game that didn't play in their first. Kid completely took it to Pats IER, which is usually a good defensive team.

No big change. He picked up 4 new players from FCD over the summer. 3 from Pino/Nipper and 1 from Goncalves.
I expect LP Elite will do well in this tournament, they have shown that they can compete with top level teams in the last year or two. But wouldn't get too carried away with the two big wins as the opposition appear to have been sub par.

Well Elgin Pumas tied OYFC 0-0 the first day, and they are a good team who made Nationals, maybe they softened them up for us

LP Elite will dominate this bracket.
I'm still predicting that they will win it all or at least make the semifinals.

Well we need to keep the level up. Easy to play good in one game and drop next one, so we need to be at our best.

Well, good luck anyway.
Our kids might play against each other in CL, but I'm not coming on here to wish you guys ill will.
Kinda wish LP Owen was where you guys are now.
That goes for the FCD and Sporting teams also.
Just my opinion, it makes North Texas looks good, every time any of ya'll win a game in the Dallas Cup.

I'm curious if any local teams got stuck with weekday games prior to 4pm...cause I don't see any of them in U13 and U14 and U15. Other than us. Noon..Mon and Wed. Thanks, FCD. That's very cool of you.

Does anyone know if the Mexico U13/U14 teams are age pure or calendar year like NTX?

Re: Local Teams In U-14 Dallas Cup
Looks like 4 of the 5 NTX teams won their bracket. Way to go!
Going to be (4) NTX vs (3) California teams in Quarter's...(I believe the wildcard is La Premier FC LAFA)
Snookem's prediction may just come to fruition. Hoping to see a NTX winner for sure.

Great showing by the north Texas teams, with three of the four not even giving up a goal. Excellent showing congratulations to them all. Nice to see a few non-competing Classic League coaches out today giving some support to the teams as well.
