06 Select Fees
Trying to start a topic on what to expect as fees for Select and uniforms as these group of kids get into select this fall. May be we can keep adding by club, division and then the fees plus uniform. In addition are the tournaments extra? what if the tournaments are out of town?

Re: 06 Select Fees
Generally, for the big clubs, you can expect the club fee + kit to be be around 2,800-3,000. 2,400-2,600 is the club fee and around 360-400 for the uniform kit. Most clubs don't charge different fees for different divisions.
In addition to that initial club payment, most teams will have a separate budget they need to cover for tournaments, winter indoor/futsal, facility rental when it rains, etc. Large clubs may give about $1500 back to each team for the year to help with tournaments, but that will only cover about 2.5 tournaments and many teams play more than that thus the team budget. I've had team budgets as low as $300 per player, and I've had years where it exceeded $1,000 and would have been higher if the team didn't do some fundraising. If the tournaments are out of town, the tournament fee is probably covered in the team budget, but your travel isn't. The team will also be expected to pay for the coach's travel cost which may be budgeted or someone might reach into your pockets again. Lots of variables from team to team, but generally speaking the higher the division the more you're going to pay (more tournaments, higher cost tournaments, more travel, etc.)

Re: 06 Select Fees
Lots of good info from Debit. I would say the big clubs were in the $2,400 to $2,900 range last year for the club fee alone. With uniforms in the $360 to $450 range.
FCD was on the upper end of the club fee last year but there was no change to uniforms. Not sure if they will reduce the club fee down a bit this year since everyone has to buy a new uniform this year.
The smaller clubs tend to range in the $1,200 to $2,200 range and independent teams can be less than $1,200.
Some clubs have mandatory fundraisers. Does Liverpool still do the flowers that everyone hates so much?

Thanks. May be independent teams can start putting in the info and contact numbers in this forum to help parents go through this maze.

Unfortunately tribal knowledge tends to rule here.
One way to assess your options is to look around the leagues the 06s have been playing in by visiting the respective websites. That gives you an idea of the clubs and teams that may be in you geographic reach and their approximate level. You can contact the ones of interest and ask them what they charge.

Re: 06 Select Fees
FCD supposed to let managers know the club fees for the upcoming year at a manager's meeting first weekend of June. I'm curious to see if there is a shift due to 06s only playing 9v9 and with smaller rosters than last year's 05s entering Select. Will the Classic and other league fees drop slightly for smaller fields, etc? And, will the clubs pass that along?
