Seeking Advice for D2 player

After being with my son's club for the last 2 years, we have decided to branch out and see if there is something more competitive for him this upcoming year. We have been told by multiple coaches that he is a solid D2 player, and a possible D1 with the right developmental coach - but other than one team, we cannot seem to find any in the FTW or West Dallas area (we have been driving to South Fort Worth and to Farmer's Branch to find potential teams) There are plenty of D1 teams, and he has tried a few sessions with a few of them, but we know the reality is that he will likely sit the bench for the majority of a game on a D1 team. We'd like for him to be in an environment where is challenged, but not overwhelmed.  It's looking as though we may need to wait until after the Classic League challenge to really know what our options will be for D2 and D3, but if anyone has any suggestions, we would greatly appreciate them.

You might checkout one of the rising D2 teams.  Fever finished near the top of the big D2 group, securing a spot in the ten team d2 next season.  Evolution has a team that also finished near the top of D2.  And secured a spot in the new d3 next year.  


Both are located in a Colleyville and have friendly atmospheres.  With coaches well liked by the families.  

And a rising d2 team Might provide a challenge, with room to grow with the team.  And some talented teammates to push your son.

Thanks OP05. For some reason I did forget about Evo - yes, we have been in contact with them, I guess I should make it a priority to get him out there. Unfortunately, it seems most teams are practicing Mondays and Wednesdays - and there are only so many of those between now and July. There is also the chance of Solar having a D3 team next year, so we will be watching that situation as well. Thank you for your helpful reply!

We have a friend on that top 05 evo team. He says the kids have improved a lot. And they all love the positive style of the coach.
