05 Teams

Well, we have now begun the 05 Academy League.....Any opinions on the teams just starting out.....Solar, Texans, Liverpool...Any look better than the rest. Looking for some opinions.

Haven't seen many of them yet but Solar is the best I've seen so far.

I believe Solar was just beaten by Leite's 05s last Sunday, no?

It was a good game between Leite and Solar. Ended in a 2-2 tie.

I think there are two Solar teams in SDL. Are the two teams pretty even or is there a top team and a second team?

There are actually four solar teams in the DSL league for U7. No idea if one is better than the others. Guess we will find out soon.

I saw a couple of pretty good teams in the Primetime League these last couple of weekends:
Texans South and Kicks Brazil seem to have put together some pretty good teams.

I am sure this will generate some responses. A less than educated ranking of the 05 teams at this early stage:
1) Solar Chelsea Drogba
2) Leite United
3) Kicks Brazil
4) Dallas Texans South
5) Dallas Kicks SC

Any other opinions?

I am thinking it would be nice if we could get the 05 academy league scores posted here as they do in all the other age groups. How are all of the teams doing in the SDL and other leagues this season? Can we get some records posted here and scores from the last week and for future weeks. I know the end of the season is this coming weekend in SDL and I, for one, am curious as to how the league has stacked up this season. I know you can go to the Primetime site and get their weekly scores there. That being said, the only team I know anything about is Leite United and their record is 6-0-1 with a 6-1 win over Solar Chelsea Torres (Kennington) this past weekend.

Is anyone playing in the Primetime tournament in McKinney the weekend of November 18th?

Leite United 05 is playing in Aces Fall Tournament in the 04 Silver division (Nov 11-13)

Liverpool have two teams.
Liverpool '05 Gerrard based out of Flower Mound/Lewisville
Liverpool '05 Kennedy based out of The Colony

Are there any other U7 academy leagues besides Primetime and SDL this season?

My two cents in the SDL this season:
Leite United and Solar Chelsea are pretty far ahead of everyone else. I have no idea what anyone's records are, but it would be nice to know how everyone is doing.

Leite United 12-0 over Solar Chelsea East (Riojas). Any other scores?

Thanks for the compliment. Our kids enjoyed playing in primetime. The guys at primetime do a good job at running the league. We look forward to next season. If anyone is looking for a strong 05 team to train with in the offseason please give me a call. We also have a good core of 06's that will be playing at Arlington indoor.

I don't have a BB that is an 05 but I have to comment on Dallas Kicks comment. He is truly a coach that focus on skills. I have seen his 01 team grow to a top team. I know for a fact that is 05 teams and any team he coach will be a top team. I highly recommend him as a coach, from playing on his team or having him do skills training for your son or daughter.

Where is everyone playing this winter? Curious as to what teams are looking good. Where is the good competition? 05 Group sure is a quiet bunch.....
