Solar Red Moves Up to #1 in The Country
Just saw the latest Got Soccer Rankings for the U15 Boys and Our own Solar Red is Ranked #1 in NTX, #1 in Region III, and #1 in USA.
Congrats to Nuno Passos and his boys. They work hard, train hard and play great. Good for them and great for NTX.
Nuno has had to rebuild his Band of Gypsies several times over the years and has kept them at the top of the class since U12. No other 99 team can boast the same success!!!
As he says and I believe, This isn't ____, This is Solar Red!

Re: Solar Red Moves Up to #1 in The Country
When I checked the link, it shows they are 3rd in the Nation. Clearly, a great team that represent NTX soccer well...so 1st or 3rd, doesn't matter to me. But what is this 'Diamond Tier' that they are in? Sounds fancy!!!

Loudin just won a tournament last weekend, which boosted their rankings as of today. De Anza Force 98 also won a tourney last weekend, which bumped them up several spots today.
SR 99 is the favorite to win Region III again this year, which will put them back at Nationals to avenge their loss last Summer. Yes, any way you slice it, SR 99 is an amazing team. Nuno and his boys have earned their stripes.
No other 99 CL team will be able to exceed their success.
Gabs, SR went 1-1-1 at DC last year. They also were eliminated from State Cup, but won Region III. Don't be hatin' on my thread, bro. Always room for improvement.

BB likes newnose. He guest coached for them at regionals last year and did a great job. SR is a solid team and he has done a great job of replacing talent every year. It's been a solid team all the way back to academy so kudos

Yes glad to see Duncanville doing well, it's a good thing passos has those DTS 96 boys at that school helping him to win. That DTS team is in Dallas Cup again this year. Everyone knows that a high school coach is only as good as the select kids he has at his school.

Lol, I agree for the most part. But there are a few......only a few that get a lot out of just a little. Those are the good ones!

Re: Solar Red Moves Up to #1 in The Country
No hate at all Finish, no hate at all. I am quite sure that my all time favorite youth player comes from that team (can't remember if he was a 99 or a 98, I think 99) and one of my favorite mid player is still there.finish1 wrote:Don't be hatin' on my thread, bro. Always room for improvement.
Hey, on top of that, I guess I can take pride knowing that my BB beat the "best team in the nation" 3 times in his 3 classic league years with 3 different teams.

Sure, never said they couldn't be beat.
And to add to your point, you never did win a Classic League and State Cup in the same year despite playing for 3 teams and 3 clubs. LOL!

My bb never did either but just because your team win this or that, it has no reflection on your own ability to play.

Re: Solar Red Moves Up to #1 in The Country
Let's keep the posts on the sunny side, folks. No one is going pro. It's just kids playing youth sports. The thread is a simple congrats to a team that is doing very well, from the starters to the subs, and especially the coach.

Well here we go again. Huffing and puffing, with chest thumping by parents that get emotional and try to bring back their own rich (NOT) athletic past.

I would like to congratulate all the SR players for all their hard work. I don't really think Passos is a great coach personally but he is one of the best recruiters. He knows how to get people on his team and stay on his team, but tactic wise or skill wise I don't think he is that great. IMOP! Congrats SR Boys!
