Me too! Love the little guys  Very Happy . Pretty sure Solar Chelsea will be the cream of the D2. FCD Red took LP Owen 0-0 to PK's in the Ken Smith before losing. Heard Gomez picked up several LP Rush and LP Gerrard players including the LP Rush goalie and a top midfielder from Gerrard. The adds will help but I think some left for PA so we will see the net effect. I think FCD Central will be the big surprise coming from D3. They can flat out score !

I don't think Solar Chelsea will be the cream of D2 crop unless they picked up some new players that are excellent. They lost 2 or 3 really good players. The new coach is good, but coaches can only do so much. They were definitely not D1 caliber last year.

Review of tournaments, I see they tied Liverpool Gerrard D2 twice. Lost to D3 Andromeda that didn't make it back to classic league. I say no unless the talent pool is thinning.

That's comical, who reviews multiple tournaments to post regarding a relegated team?  I can see the posting talent isn't D1 caliber either!

What's up futbolista - need to hook a brother up with some nachos!

Solar Chelsea lost 2 starters...but picked up starters from other D1 teams. Never posted on this site that they were having "open practices or tryout", turned away lots of kids, still drew talent from the Texans, Andromeda (the "new super team") and FCD. Not sure whats more encouraging, the talent draw the #2 coach at Solar has brought to this team, or the immediate positive impact on the players confidence level the coach has brought to this team. As for the 2 starters that left....great individual players, but the team play and chemistry is better overall without them. I am impressed by the number of D1 players and parents on this team that made the decision to stay for the long term benefits of the new coach. (only complaint is Solar should have made this coaching change a year ago) It will be an interesting season for sure.

Kinda crappy to single out two kids on Solar Chelsea that left as the reason for team chemistry problems and lack of team play. That would be a coaching issue.

Drama filled responses are expected from certain team parents but never before from a Solar Red parent.  Either there is a newly recruited drama queen on the team, or the original poster struck a sore spot.

Ahhh.... At last night's practice somebody pointed out that BuckeyeNation is the person that was creating the Solar Red looking for player postings, so we assume it is the coach.  In that case, I understand the drama and emotion from hearing that people who left for Pre-Acadamey find him to be a good guy with good game results but a less than par developmental coach.

Coach, this is your chance to prove them wrong.  Last year, DTS lost many of their best players and Sal was able to quickly train his new recruits to play good soccer and win the Plano Labor Day tournament.  You can do the same.  Prove your naysayers wrong and show that you can coach a team to play more than just long ball rec style soccer that exploits the typical youth skill difference between your forwarders and the opposing defenders.

Coach of Solar Red is a graduate of Ohio State.

With his bio, he has more than enough tools to help improve the players. What is the problem?

@WC2014, DTS did lose 2 very good players last Fall.
But they gained 3 equally talented players to fill those spots (1 previous player came back after playing up in the '01 group. 2 came over from Gonclaves).
