01s looking for a rec team?

My boy wants to play soccer this season and is actually pretty good but plays baseball as a primary sport so we don't want to sign on with a club team with a full contact. Are there any teams down South that would be interested in taking on a few boys from his team that are all athletic and can all play, want to stick together, and play Rec for a season or two before trying to get to the contract competitive level? I know I am taking a shot in the dark here but it is worth asking...

What area are you looking for? CD Pumas is currently looking in forming teams ranging from U5-U17 boys & girls and would love to see if you would be interested in looking at our Club. We are an independent club without the high cost of big clubs and currently have a total of 5 teams and are constantly looking to add players. We are looking in the southern area like arlington/mansfield. Thank you for info but I think Dallas is a little far for us!

If you are wanting to play in an NTSSA-sanctioned outdoor recreational league, you can't pick your rec team.  You register with the rec home association where you live and they assign you to a team.

If you want to pick your rec team, look for an unsanctioned league or indoor.

Is it REC baseball or travel baseball that they all play. Then look at the flip side. What would you do if as a travel baseball team coach 4 quality players came to you and said we'd like to join your squad but not are not sure how many practices or games we'll be able to make because soccer is our primary sport.

May come down to a space issue depending on the number of kids. Let me know.
We practice in arlington.
Will also explain what I am trying to do and maybe it will work for you  or maybe  not.

I have a couple of boys in Midlothian that are a little burned out from playing 3 sports in 7th grade and have decided to take the season off. They both come from well formed D3 teams and have a great history together. If anyone else thinks they may have room for a couple of boys (one a great left forward and a mid to right defender) maybe we can work something out for everyone. We also have a few girls that would love to form a co-ed team to play indoor through the year just keep touching the ball till their big entry into HS!

I am planning on doing indoor soccer at APEX (Mansfield), summer II.
Deadline is this week with games starting this weekend or next week. This could be fun.
