Wow. Every level will be competitive. A lot more out of state (TXN) teams than usual.

Yes, with 62 teams they might end up with a "Tin" division. Crazy stuff.

Harder job "seeding" this thing than the U11 QT. Good luck casually looking at that list and knowing who the heck should be where. Last year they only put 8 teams in the top division. Here you have ostensibly best team in AR, TN, top5 team in KS, top5 teams from TXS, etc.

No Solar Red (Bates)? No Texans West (Castro)?

Texans West playing in United Cup in SoCal that weekend. Played 02 Ayses tourney last weekend. Castro keeping them busy. The lineup looks great for Plano Labor Day Tourney. A lot of great teams and players. Best of skill and saavy to NTX over this weekend.

I think these are all the Solar Chelsea Football Club (SCFC) teams and the 03B or 03B Red team is Bates as far as I can tell.

Bates is unlikely to miss this tournament because it is so relevant to upcoming league play and it's the first chance for 90% of D1 teams to play each other in a competitive setting.

I wouldn't be too concerned about Castro not being there (at PLD) because they are going to settle up with the California teams and I wish them the best for having the desire and willingness to compete against their SuperCopa rivals in the California Shark Tank... I mean So. Cal. Tournament.

The TXS is for Texas South, so those aren't Bates for whatever that is worth. List not final so who knows.

My bet is on Ody or Texans South. Ody will be surprisingly different this season (improved) I am placing my bet in Vegas on one of the 2.

Looks like congrats are in order for Dallas Texans South for taking Gold bracket in this past weekend's Beat The Heat tourney in Edmond, OK. Looks like Ayses Gold took silver1 meeting FC Premier in the final. Overall a strong showing for NTX teams!

Thanks for the info, I am now very surprised that Bates isn't listed, but maybe like you said earlier the list is not finalized yet.

Solar Bates...Please come to the PLD tournament, it will be fun and you will get an early look at this years competition and also get a chance to work out the kinks and make adjustments before we play for rankings.

Just for clarification, it was AYSES East Gold (old North Texas Strikers, Classic III) not AYSES Gold (Classic II) that won the Silver 1 bracket.

You are right.

Selfish manager for Solar Red has somehow managed to avoid playing tournaments on all major holidays for the last 7 years......much to the dismay of the BBs on the team BUT much to the delight of the team parents   

7 years?   I made my 4 year old skip Xmas to play in a soccer tourney back in 2007.   Santa is for quitters.   

When will they announce the brackets? A lot of teams just in this age bracket makes it a cluster for field parking not to mention the overflowing toilets at Russel Creek.  

Can we get this to 64 teams and do an NCAA bracket challenge of the teams? 68 if we want the 4 play-in games...

I haven't really looked at this tournament's history. Is having 60 plus teams in one age bracket normal? It seems with so many teams this tournament would carry more weight than it seems to.

This has always been one of the largest tournaments locally each year, but it's really exploded in the past 2 years (2013 & 2014 editions).  I believe last year PYSA got caught by surprise by the number of teams signing up and was scrambling to find additional field complexes to use.  Looking at the U12 age group over the past several years here's the number of teams entered each year:

Thank you for that information. Just surprised it does not carry more clout. Looks bigger than anything FC Dallas is associated with besides maybe Dallas Cup (new relationship)
