Top drawer combines

looking for input on the top drawer soccer combine. my son is ranked in their top 150 and looks on the site often, but we havent been out to a combine. looking at trying out st louis or atlanta that are coming up, then maybe dallas in november if those go well. anyone have input? thanks! Laughing

I visit the site often and would love to see my BB's name highlighted. Nothing yet. A BB from our team has a Combine score but swears he never attended one lol. I'm sure they are a decent way to get some valuable feed back but wouldn't over estimate the Combine's value. TDS can only evaluate whom they have seen and with high ranked BB's dropping 40 plus spots and the reverse occurring for some recent lower ranked BB's jumping up 40 spots seems to affirm so.

thanks for the input. i assume that being seen close by their staff at a combine could help for rankings and only help being recruited by college coaches.

Unless the college coach is as wise as I . Couldn't hurt but I wouldn't travel outside of Dallas for one.

I don't put much stock into the TDS "IMG Top 150" rankings anyway.

A lot of these 'rankings' are tied to club/team affiliation.

Presumably, if you are already playing in the DA, you should be getting plenty of exposure from that. Otherwise, why spend the damn money on traveling all over the country "to be seen"?

Bottom line... can your son play ball? That is all that matters. The only one your BB needs to impress with his soccer acumen is the coach from the school(s) your BB is interested in. The rest is pure noise, a waste of time and money.
