What's with the weird field names at Moneygram? Did they sell individual field sponsorships? Does everything have to be about money? Can't we just have normal field numbering schemes like numbers or letters???

I must be fast tracking to Grumpy Old Man, but this is just ridiculously annoying. I'll step down off this soapbox as soon as I can find where I placed my cane.

I generally agree about the disdain for everything "being about money", but in this case, if they can leverage the name of the fields to provide funds that go back into the tournament for the benefit of the kids playing, I think it is pretty smart. This tournament is getting bigger and bigger each year and possibly they make enough to bring in some international teams and help out with travel costs etc.

If a corporate sponsor paid for my kids club dues, I wouldn't care if they slapped their name across the front of the jersey. But, that is an outrageous idea and would never happen.
