Ken Smith Memorial Day Tournament

Wondering why they would have three top D1 teams in brackets A and B, with one of them being eliminated in quarterfinals. They should switch the two FC Dallas teams between brackets A and D.

Bracket C

Bracket D
RATTLERS 00B (TXS)
FC DALLAS 00 BOYS (TXN)

East was just added, it had TBA before and there were only 13 teams signed up as of the weekend. Perhaps they got a break on the entrance fee.

I know, they were added at the last minute. However seeding based on the teams' previous performances should be respected and adequate changes should be made to the brackets to assure that the top teams are not eliminated early on in the tournament.
DT Red, Wizards and FC Dallas East are far better teams than any other in the tournament. Still with the current brackets, one of them will be eliminated in the quarter-finals.

the best team will still win. they just won't get a free ride to semi's. why even play the first three games if its all about seeding. draw "straws" and give all teams an equal "chance" at not playing the best team in bracket play Smile

East has a chunk of starters out of town for holiday. But at last classic game someone said that the tourney was looking for a team to fill a bracket so we decided nothing to lose and best case a DC slot. I guess we did just get slotted in the already scheduled TBA position. Either way soccerdadrandy is correct. Still have to play because any team can lose on any day. I wish this tourney was not so close to state cup. Good Luck to all the teams! Hopefully we don't have 5 hour delays and get sent home for later game like we did for state cup scratch
