If you're in or near the South, and your kid's pretty good and won't cry about hard practices, DT South's not a bad fit.
And no, BB doesn't play for DTS.

Let me guess "KICKER98", you signed with DTS last season, probably because they were the top team for the last few years.
They had a bad season.
BB was benched whenever PA showed up. FCD also played a lot of PA players.
Parents openly complaining because you're not winning. So half of you QUIT taking your BB's to practice. So Sal has to practice the 6 or 7 kids that do show up to practice with the '03s.
So now the coach is a "Dud"?
Yes, I have friends still with DTS '02 & '03. This is exactly what's been happening.
Hopefully your coach cleans house, and get a more committed crew (parents).
Stop acting like a bitter ex-girlfriend and just leave already!

Just my opinion, I’ve talked to several parents that were on this team this year. All having the same story, which is : STAY CLEAR OF THIS TEAM!!! Why you ask? PA players come and play for free, coach shows no interest in the team, did not put them in tournaments this year, certain players and families get free rides if they recruit (pay no dues and some barely come to practice and start in games), too much drama…it was a good run find a new team for your kid…

Every year you have all of these people sharing negative sentiment towards their old teams and evidently those not on the team. The negative sentiment could be said about a lot of teams, but people continually want to attack DTS. I truly hope you don not share this attitude with your kids. Its what turns them away from a great sport. If your son struggled or did not play then they need to work harder or you need to make better decisions and put in a place where they be successful. I have seen a revived passion and work ethic in my son since joining this team. I have been around a a lot of teams over the years and have yet to see a better practice with this level of passion and discipline. Again, if you are interested in your son developing, come out to one of our practices. Please message me with any questions.

Then, if you're thinking of signing with DT South, before you do, ASK the coach some of these questions:
1. Are we playing indoor during the winter break?
2. How many tournaments are we playing this year?
3. How many PA players are on this roster?
4. How many PA players are going to play my BB's spot?
5. Why didn't you sign this developing team up for indoor, local, and travelling tournaments like you've done in previous years?
If he cannot answer these questions, then move along.
If you don't ask these questions, then sign up and shut up.
Most of the new players' parents that were on this team this season dang sure signed up for the DT South winning history only.
A ton of new players.
Yes, I do understand that if I'm paying $2,500+ for my BB to ride the bench, while PA players played for free and we STILL LOST, I would be pissed!
Well, this year, there will be no PA players. Unless I'm completely wrong.

Just remember. Coaches will say things in the beginning that never come to fruition. Seen that a lot as have you Snookems.

There can be 02 PA players this year but not 01 PA.

I forgot about the '02 PA players.
But with those 3 or 4 PA '01 players. DT South's gonna have to dig deep. And practice, indoor, and do a ton of tournaments.

It worked for LP Rush & Stricker's teams.
Tons of tournaments this past season.
The boys bonded, more experience playing together, and they both looked very good.

Quicker02, are you the manager for DT South this year?
A few questions that I would like to have answered without me having to PM you that a manager should know:

When is your next practice?

Are you guys actually planning on doing any tournaments this season, as opposed to hardly any last season?

Will you guys be doing indoor in the Winter break?

How many PA players will be rostered on this Texans team?

Where will you be practicing this upcoming season?

How much is the total fee without uniforms?
