FC FAST 08' (Frisco, Plano, McKinney area)

FC FAST is growing! We are adding a new 08' boys team in the fall that will be playing in the United Academy League (silver division) and is looking for players born 8/1/07-7/31/08. We are based in Frisco and have players from Plano, McKinney, Allen, Little Elm, The Colony and Prosper playing with us.

Our current 08' team will play in the platinum/gold division again and is looking to add 1-2 players as we move up to U8, 8V8. Our new 08' is looking for a number of players, so this is a great opportunity for strong rec players to move up or current academy players looking for something different. This new 08' team will be lead by Coach Eric Cannon, a 2-time Parade All-American player in college.

How are we different?

1) Summer pick up games... We invite your son to come out to play pickup games with our 07' and 08' boys and see how they fit in. We start next week in Frisco, come out and join us - there is no cost and no obligation.

2) Volunteer coaches... We don't believe academy age kids should pay hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to play a simple game. You just pay for your share of the league registration fee and for the uniform - that's it. See if you can play for other teams this fall for under $100 this fall (including uniform).

3) Futsal... We play Futsal on a hardcourt in the winter/summer, not turf wall ball. This builds great control and quicker thinking and is the perfect compliment to the outdoor game. Most of our drills are built around Futsal foot skills.

4) Fun and development... Since our coaches aren't paid, we aren't pressured to win. We can focus on developing players and having fun. We play with style, even at a young age, because honestly who is going to remember if you won or lost that game when you were 7 or 8? You will see a difference in your player and the team from game one through the final game.

5) No over coaching... Young players need to build a love for the game at this age, not be over coached and quit by 13/14. We spend a lot of time with the ball and a lot of time scrimmaging to build skills, confidence, and creative play.
