I am looking for a team for my son. DOB 02/06 lot of team to choose from, can any body (that has knowledge on the whole north Dallas teams records) suggest some mid/high ranking ones, with good coach that main focus is about the players development not the winning rate.
Thank you for your time

You have a ton of options at your doorstep! Some of the best youth soccer around, is here in DFW. So, you have a number of clubs/teams to choose from. My suggestion is to try some and see what the best fit is for you.

My son plays for FC Dallas-Barboza 06, and we practice Tue/Thurs. Coach Pierre Barnoza is all about development and has had his core players for quite a few years already. We are not a top-5 team in the area, but have held our own with them. The team is good, and getting better each month. We would love to have your boy come out for a couple sessions. We train at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, 6:30-8p Tu/Th. For more information please PM me here.

Best of luck!!!!

There are quite a bit of teams in the 06 division at FCD. Not sure how to go about ranking them, but these are coaches that I think are worth a look as I have heard and seen very good things about them. 06 Premier - John Thomas (top team), Gomez, Dane, Lopez, Marshall, and Bailey. I would start with those along with the one mentioned above before anyone else. All their emails and numbers are on FCD website and you can prob easily setup a time to go and check a practice or two.

Here is a list of other clubs that have great coaching and focus on youth development at all levels.

FC Premier
Dallas Texans
Solar
FC Dallas
Ayses
Odyssey
Liverpool FC America

There are many other excellent clubs in DFW and this is just a small list of the clubs with academy programs that already have highly rated coaches and players.

DFW starts early so it will be a challenging experience, but you should be able to find the right combination of team skill and coaching ability to meet your requirements.

JT and Gomez have the top two teams, and they are two of the best in the area. After that the second grouping of teams would be the ones ussoccerfan mentioned, as well as our team coached by Pierre Barboza. Our team just came over from Liverpool. Any one of those options would be great to look into...if you are interested in FCD. Yes, there are a ton of 06 teams in the club, however the facilities and opportunities provided to the boys are really quite impressive. Best of luck.
