Storm FC 99B (Previously 00B) CL D1

Kernow Storm FC 00B will be moving up to Kernow Storm FC 99B for the oncoming year.

This team is coached by Antony Penna for the 2016-2017 season. This past season we have:

Gained promotion to D1 Classic
Semi Finalists of State Cup
Final four for NPL South Central League

We will be U18 as a calendar year 1999 team so any players born from 1/1/99 will be eligibale to tryout.  Players born in 00 may play up.

There are available opportunties to play National Premier League (NPL) also.

An update on Practice. We will be changing our practice days and times starting the week of May 16th.

No practice Friday the 13th

hey quick question? has CL informed you for sure that you will have the D1 spot? because I hear both of this seasons 99 D2 teams that also gained promotion for next season will also stay 99s

I doubt it.
Current '99 teams will become '98 with players born after 1/1/1998 and play as U19.
Current '00 teams will become '99 with players born after 1/1/1999 and play as U18.

both teams have very few 98s and 1 has already confirmed they are doing the U18 99 division

My understanding is that all byes in CL are advanced by two years. Do they have a choice?

The USSF reclassification is available on line.  
Laroja_2012 is correct on the classification.  Even if the 98 team has very few 98's (mostly 99's) it is still classified as a 98 team because that is the age group it is playing in the league.  If a 99 player wants to play on a U18 1999 team they will need to go and tryout for one of the teams including Kernow Storm that are moving up to that age group.

where did you hear that one?

The Classic League website seemed a little ambiguous as to whether or not there was a choice so I asked for clarification and was told "Current U17s will hold byes (if they are not required challenge, bottom six in D3) in U19 next year."

A meeting was held by most club DOC's and/or team representatives on January 10, 2016 with Classic League and it was voted that all teams wishing to retain their Classic League bye would have to move up 2 age groups. U16 will move up to U18 in the upcoming 2016/2017 season. The U17 teams would move up to U19 or loose their bye.

We have already had our invitation and accepted it. We will be CL D1. And no club has a choice they will move up two years (hence the creation of U18) each club can then decide if they accept the bye or if they are heavy in the lower ages re-qualify for that age group and opt to give up their bye (I can't see many teams wanting to lose their bye mind you, they will probably try and make a second team!!)
