Find a team

Hi! I will be moving to Dallas this summer from Monterrey- Mexico and wanted a recomendation on how I can find a team for my son. He plays competitive soccer in Monterrey, he has been playing competitive soccer for the past 3 years, he plays for 2 teams one is a 2006 team, the other is 2006-2007. He plays as Midfielder and forward. He is american (has an american birth certificate) but has never lived in the US (ony in latin america). Any help will be welcome.

2 questions...what is his date of birth? What are of town are you moving to?

His b-day is 23 March 2007. We are still deciding where we will move, probably near addison (thats where he will be going to school)

That location is central for all 3 top clubs. Texans' has pool practice for their top 2 teams in Carrollton (Texans Red and White). FCD has a similar setup in Frisco (FCD Red and Blue). Solar has 2 top 10 teams in Allen (Kennington and Volkan). If you prefer a more independent feel, Dallas Rush is in North Dallas. All of these would be 20+/- minutes away and are worth checking out. I'd also point out Elite FC are making a lot of noise this spring, but I'm not sure where they are based. Bottom line is do your due diligence (pick the coach that you feel most comfortable with) there is plenty of quality soccer in this age group within a reasonable distance. Hope this helps.

I would add that the Iber Cup will feature 9 of 12 top North Texas teams (FCD will be in Spain), in addition to Intercups from Monterrey, Man City, and a couple other quality international teams. If you're in town mid April it would be a great scouting opportunity.

I coach a 06-07 club team called Eclipse. We are very strong and you only pay for league fees and uniforms. You do not pay coaching fees, as I have a "real" job. I coach because I love it and you should not have to pay, in order to play competitively.
We are based out of Keller, but travel to Dallas every weekend to play. We are very active with tournaments, etc through the summer and winter. We also play indoor during the off season to keep our touches on the ball fresh. We are registered through US Club Soccer.
