Moving from Boston Area to Frisco Empty Moving from Boston Area to Frisco

Post by malwee 5/16/2017, 9:33 pm

We are moving to Frisco in July 2017. I am looking for Soccer and Futsal teams for my two kids 2005 and 2009. My elder son is a advanced player and has been playing Soccer and Futsal competitively for the last 4 years. He plays for a premier club in the Boston area and is in their top team. FC Dallas, Dallas Texans and Solar are the teams I seem to pick as the top soccer clubs in the Dallas area from the forums. Do these teams also play Futsal ? Can someone suggest good Futsal teams in the area ? I watched some Videos of 05 FC Dallas and Dallas Texans and I see that the level of Soccer is really good. I am hoping that we can find good teams for my two kids. Any suggestions and help navigate the Soccer/Futsal world in Dallas will be appreciated.

Thanks,

malwee

For the Futsal piece, check out City Futsal.  They  supposedly have an outdoor club in the works too.  That might be the best way to marry those ideas.

First of all welcome to north Texas!
You should post this in the 05 Forum and i am sure you will get plenty of suggestions.
FYI- if you are coming in July this means Classic League teams- Div 1,2,3 are set. There are 2 basic leagues to choose from; Classic League and Plano Premiere. Your team has to qualify its way into Classic while Plano is for those left out and the up and comers.

This is nothing new- look for a Club that you will get playing time, you like the coach, travel to practice is reasonable, etc.

I suggest you go visit as many teams as possible because
ONCE YOU FIND THE TEAM you will be asked to sign a one year contract and fees vary greatly. The bigger the Club, the bigger the fee. Good luck and stay hydrated!

There should be no worries on formed teams. Every team typically leaves a couple of spots open for new studs moving to town. And with your 05 you can try DA teams as well. You may want to come down for week in June to try a few practices.

City Futsal is the standard bearer for futsal in the area. They have local leagues and camps and my kid could always do futsal concurrently with his outdoor team when he was younger. He would typically play with kids on his outdoor team.
