Teams in Plano D1 this year are listed below. Who will end up with the two Challenge Tournament berths?

Interesting to me that no one has mentioned TFC White. Didn't they finish top of the returning group from the prior year (just behind the 3 teams that left for classic)? Did TFC Blue improve their roster that much in the offseason?

I guess it will be more evident after the PLD as I believe both teams (Blue & White) are in that tournament.

I will say that our roster improvements were significant and hopefully just what we needed.

We haven't played White in a tourny or scrimmaged them yet, so I can't comment on what they'll look like this year.

Also, FCD White and Nationals FC will be in the PLD, so that's four Plano 1 teams to watch. I agree that all of the buzz so far has been about TFC Blue, while TFC White has flown mostly under the radar. Maybe that's all for the best. I would prefer it that way if it were my team.

WF is getting lots of early love. They sure did well in the Plano QT last weekend. Did anyone see them play? What's the thought process behind picking them to advance this season after moving over to Plano from Arlington?

I also have to believe that FCD White is improved, as they held WF to a 1-1 tie in the QT after dominating their other two opponents 4-0 abd 3-1.

TFC Blue (Ayses / Longhorns) always had a very solid defense. They have added a two-man wrecking crew of front. One of them is definately a D-1 player. Do not have a horse in this race, but I know, they can flat out score now.

Rusty is spot on. TFCB will be tough to handle this year.

Nice try but nope...I'm the only poster from our team on this thread. If you search his posts, you'll see that Rusty is quite a fan of a team in the '96B group from up north. But if you must know, he played on the same competitive team as our coach back in the day, so I guess he could be considered somewhat of a homer Laughing

We (Texans DIII) just played TFCB in Oklahoma 2 weeks ago and they are going to be very tough to beat. We had to come from behind to tie them 2-2 after winning our other 3 games. They have 2 forwards that will dominate in Plano. Solid team.
