97 PPL Predictions 9/25-26
Game of the Week:
TFC Blue (2-0) vs. Nationals FC (1-0) - The pre-season favorite meets the up-and-coming challenger. TFC Blue has silenced it's two opponents in convincing fashion so far and seems primed for a strong run. Nationals FC comes off a whooping of Aces, in a game they won going away on the scoreboard, but in which there was not a huge difference in talent. The big difference was NFC finished off their scoring chances and Aces did not. TFC Blue will win a close one, 2-1.
In Other Action
TFC White (1-2) vs. FCD White (1-0-1) - TFC has stumbled to a rough start, dropping games to TFC Blue and newcomer Tiapehuala before shutting down WF Xpress on Sunday. FCD, after a nearly 100% turnover of their roster from last year, came up strong in the QT with a second place finish, and has kept the results coming so far. TFC White will get the better of this matchup and will get back to .500 with a 3-1 win.
Aces (0-2) vs. Tiapehuala (2-0) - Aces earns the title of most diappointing team so far. After winning the QT, they struggled a bit in the Arlington Labor Day Shootout and then fell flat in their first two league games. The second loss, 2-1 to Texas Blitz, was a tough one to stomach since they had just beat that team 2-0 in the QT three weeks earlier. Tiapehuala has looked strong so far, including their recent 1-0 win over TFC White. Aces will have to bring their best game to get a result in this one, and I am concerned that they may not know what their best game is yet. Tiapehuala 2-1.
Valencia (1-1) vs. WF Xpress (1-2-1) - Valencia got a 6-1 win over Texas Blitz then followed up with a 6-2 loss to TFC Blue. They are probably somewhere in between those two results, so this game should be very close. WFE has struggled to score goals so far, having been shut out in three of their four games. Valencia will have just enough to come out victorious, 2-1.
Texas Xtreme (1-1) vs. Plano United (0-2) - Texas Xtreme should be able to handle newcomer Plano United, who has just one goal in two games. Xtreme 3-1.
HPSA Scots (2-0) vs. TLSC (0-3) - Scots 4-0.
Manchester (2-0) vs. Nationals (2-1) - Manchester 4-3.
United (2-1) vs. CDI (1-1) - United 3-2.
Sunday Game:
Aces vs. WF Xpress - If Aces does in fact lose on Saturday to Tiapehuala to go 0-3, they will be playing angry on Sunday. Aces gets their first win 3-1.

Thanks Hoff. TFC White made adjustments after first two games to attacking line up which produced positive result Sunday. Expect better results going forward boys played well as team on Sunday.

What happened in your game vs. Tiapehuala? Looks like they are a pretty stout team.

Re: 97 PPL Predictions 9/25-26
We were not able to score a goal and they did. That is why coach made changes to increase offensive output. They are big physically and I would say their goalie probually best in league. We had at least one or more sure goals stopped by outstanding goalie play.

Re: 97 PPL Predictions 9/25-26
I saw a few minutes of their QT game against Nationals FC and their goalie looked like he was very mature. Tiapehuala got a PK and they pulled the goalie up to take it. He scored and the game ended up as a 1-1 tie. Pretty impressive.
