Rule of thumb - Minimum of half the players weight in ounces of water per day - not including game hydration.

Tomorrow morning the '07 boys will lace up and begin play in there first ever Qualifying Tourney. 48 hours from now the 20 D1 teams will be set and 40 remaining teams will start to regroup for Round 2. No more whining about the tourney set up, seeding, Texas heat, Classic's tyrannous uniform rules. No more projections. Time to play. Rosters are set. BBs are ready. All will be settle on the field.

Watched half of two games to check on two TOP 3 teams:

Texans (Stavrou) 1 x 0 FC Dallas ETX
Texans (Salazar - old PST) 4 x 1 Solar Martinez

Surprised Stavrou's team had such a hard time vs FC Dallas ETX. Lots of missed opportunities. FC Dallas played tough. Goal differential will be great for FC Dallas.

Texans Salazar x Solar Martinez. Score doesn't do justice to how even the 2nd half was. Solar missed a few opportunities that could have tied the game. But Texans capitalized on a last min free kick to win 4 x 1.

Disaster setting up in brackets H and M. Each team in H could go 3-0 and each team in M could go 0-3. Could easily have a team go 3-0 in H and not get in and a team go 0-3 in M and get in.

A few other notable (admittedly knee jerk) early games for top seeds..

Volkan dropped first game 1-2 and still has to play Rebels tomorrow
Rush and Texans Red both won - but only got 8 points and other teams in their group with full 10 points...

shaping up to quite the sunday...

07Boy: FCD 07 Youth Suarez has talented/experienced
players. I don't think that group will go 0-3.
Suarez is definitely a D1 level team with the type of
players they have.

Will see... One more day to go..

Question to anyone...why are the goals shorter than normal? They aren't as tall as like the pit, money gram etc...?

#10 Rebels vs #11 Solar Volkan. A MUST WIN, MUST WATCH. One of these teams will not make D1.

#13 FCD Blue - Must win vs Liverpool Owen or be eliminated.

#16 NTX Shirley must win Against Dallas Rush or hope for an FC Fast Loss

some teams needed time to figure out new rosters. other teams suffered without using guest players.

4 TOP 20 teams from YSR didn't make it:

#5 Dallas Rush Voutier - Loss to NTX Celtic and a close win vs FC Fast was too much to overcome.
#10 Solar Volkan - Unexpected loss to Liverpool Carragher was the problem. 1 x 4 vs Rebels just proves Rebels are the real deal and the team to beat in D1.
#13 FC Legends - Unlucky Bracket. 0 x 2 loss to Kennington but destroyed other competition. last game FC Dallas 0 x 0 tie with Solar Kennington was convenient to both teams...
#18 Solar Martinez - Unlucky Bracket. Played Texans Salazar tough. Toss up between Martinez and Fever Moreno. Moreno's defense was the difference vs common opponents ( 9 vs 8 GF, but 2 vs 7 GA)
