With 2 games left: GF GA PTS
1: DFW TEJANOS 98B PREMIER (MOLANO) 41 17 34
2: PUMAS ELITE SC 98B (REYNA) 44 16 32
3: AYSES 98B GOLD (OBARA) 42 26 32
4: DALLAS TEXANS SC 98B RED (CONNELL) 26 15 29
5: LIVERPOOL 98B BABEL (RAVESTIJIN) 23 22 23
6: FORT WORTH FC 98B WHITE (VINCENT) 26 35 22
7: FC DALLAS YOUTH 98B BLUE (RENFRO) 21 28 18
8: HURST UNITED FC 98B BLACK (ASFOUR) 17 34 15
9: LIVERPOOL 98B (WOODBERRY) 14 40 10
10: AYSES 98B BLACK (DAVIS) 11 32 7

At the bottom, Ayses Black is relegated, but Liverpool has an outside chance at survival. They must win both remaining games, against Ayses Black and FCD Blue, and hope that HUFC doesn't win or tie either of its last two against Tejanos and FWFC. (Liverpool has much worse goal differential). Liverpool should beat Ayses Black, and HUFC should lose to the Tejanos. So the key is the last week, can Liverpool beat FCD Blue, and will HUFC lose to FWFC. Those are both tough calls, but I don't think both happen. So I say Liverpool drops out.

At the top, 4 teams remain in the hunt for the top two spots. The Texans Red shot at it is pretty slim, because even if they win out, they will miss elevation on goal differential if Tejanos can score one point and either Pumas or Ayses Gold get a win.
Tejanos finish with HUFC and Pumas, and have been playing well. I'll say 6 points.
Pumans finish with FCD Blue and Tejanos, and have been erratic. 3 points.
Ayses Gold finish with Babel & DT Red. Both dangerous for Gold. But I'll say 3 points.
Texans Red finish with FWFC and Ayses Gold. Neither game is a gimmee. I'll say 3 here also.

If that holds, Tejanos advance and Pumas advance on goal differential.

Great recap, I do think TW just might pull it. What he has done with this team, it is nothing short of a miracle !

I am pulling for the idies at the top and for LP at the bottom. Woodberry's turnaround has been amazing

Of the four teams fighting for promotion... how do you think they will do next year in D1? Will they be another TFC?

Well, Pumas and Tejanos came down for this year, so they didn't have much success up there before. Of the 4, I think only Tejanos really has the horses to possibly stick up there next year. But they will need to upgrade a couple of spots and hold on to their key striker. Unless they have serious roster changes, I would see only a one year stay for the other three.
