Somewhat surprising result for TFC White. Anyone know anything about the Monterrey team? Looks like they are in the driver's seat for a spot in the top division now.
The Aces/FCD White game was a very even game, very aggressively played but clean. Congrats to both teams on the tie. Both teams are still in the hunt to challenge FWU N Blue for the Group A lead.
Good luck to everyone in Game 2. Post the scores if you have them, as Plano does not do a very good job of posting timely results. We need to work together to assemble the stats today so we know where everyone stands heading into Sunday.

Did a search on the Monterrey team. Can't find much. PYSA shows they played in a rec tournament in the spring and won it. Who are these guys?

FWU N Blue 4 - Aces 0 - FWU N Blue showed the experience they gained from their strong run last year and truly dominated the game. They will certainly challenge for a top spot in Plano yet again this year.

This sets up a showdown between Solar Silver (0-1-1, 5 points) and Aces (0-1-1, 5 points) at 7:30 am for second place in Group A. Unless FC Dallas White can find a way to upset FWU N Blue, the winner of the Solar/Aces game will advance as the second place team. If Solar and Aces happen to tie, then FC Dallas would likely take second place even with a loss to FWU N Blue.

Solar Silver 2 - Aces 0 - Solar played a more confident and disciplined team game and Aces' inexperience was their downfall. Unless FCD upsets FWU N Blue, Solar will take second place in the bracket.

Is it a standard tournament scoring system or one that we can only figure out if we have our super secret decoder rings and the site?

I think the confusing part about the wildcard scenario is the bracket with 5 teams who played 4 games instead of 3 like everyone else.

If we had all the scores we could add up the points. Looks like the TFC / Tigers game determines who gets a wildcard bid.

My money is on TFC in that game...we beat Tigers 4-1 with no problem and our game against TFC was very evenly played...we were tied 1-1 through most of the game, but they got a handball in the box towards the end of the game and we were given a pk, which put us ahead 2-1.

How could TFC White have the 2nd place spot over TLSC/AYSES when TLSC has 3 wins, 1 loss - including a head to head over TFC White and TFC White has 2 wins, 2 losses. Seems they would have the wildcard spot, and we'd have the 2nd place spot in our bracket.
