Week 2 CL 98B Results - Got any?
Tell us what happened.
Liverpool Babel 1 - FCDBlue 1. It was 0-0 at the half. Wilco was concerned about ball pressure early; I mean, not pressure on the ball, but pressure IN the ball - play had to be stopped for a minute or two while various people squeezed the ball. Eventually, a suitable ball was discovered and play resumed. FCD Blue played scrambling defense the whole game, as Liverpool was in FCD's half about 3/4 of the game, controlling the midfield. Liverpool scored early in the second half and continued to attack. About 4 yellows were issued, and FCD had one player sent off late in the second half for lack of shin guards. With about a minute left, FCD managed one of its few attacks and one of its defenders who had just been moved forward headed one to the far post for the tie. He didn't even mess up his Mohawk on the shot. Babel was heavily favored going into this one, and FCDB may be better than expected this season.

For D1 I've heard RM 4 TFC 0. FCDP 3 DFW 0. FCD 2 Pumas 0 and Solar 1 DT 0.

D2...Azzurri and Ayses Gold drew 2-2.
My first view of Ayses. So, can't comment on their performance. They had 2 or 3 strong players.
Azzurri had some serious technical and tactical issues.
Center ref seemed to have consistency issues and otherwise couldn't keep up with the speed of play.
Could be wrong, but Ayses seemed to be playing for a draw the entire 2nd half.
Thought they were supposed to be a top 2 D2 team?

I, among others, expected them to be a top D2 team, but then they got beat last week and there was a rumor that they had lost their keeper. I haven't heard any more about that rumor, but if they did lose their keeper, that could easily leave them at a lower level.

Their keeper was there and did play. Kid is huge for a 98.
Lots of draws in the 2nd round.
Could be an omen that the division is wide open. With the exception of Texans.

Didn't Texans draw with Hurst this weekend?

To OP, nice assessment...helps me feel like I'm at the game instead of just a score.

Re: Week 2 CL 98B Results - Got any?
So, can we assume that it is FWFC that holds up the 98 D2 scores? This is the second week in a row that their game is the last one posted, I think. Do they snail mail their results in or something?
