help finding the right 04 team/coach
We are looking for an '04 team for our son. He's very young for this group, late July bday, and he's pretty much a beginner. He has 3 siblings that play, so he's been around it a lot. He plays just for fun with his brothers around the house & outside, snd he's played a couple of seasons of rec, where he just kind of blended in. For the past year or so, he's been heavily involved in swimming, which has done wonders for his speed, strength and conditioning. Surprisingly, he brought up joining a soccer team and is really excited about it.
Any suggestions on a great coach, someone who will be very patient with a beginner? And a team that will welcome a newbie, not a seriously competitive group that only wants superstars =)
Thanks

Re: help finding the right 04 team/coach
Glad to hear that your son wants to play some ball! While our roster is currently set at 9 players for 7v7 this spring, we will need to grow into a 9v9 team in the fall.
Please PM me if you don't want to reply publicly. We need to discuss location, expectations of parents and player, etc. I have made a habit of turning athletes from other sports into soccer players, so I'm not afraid of the challenge.
Don't worry about your child not being a superstar yet. His own desire and some good coaching will turn him into one.
