What difference do these EPL hook ups really make? Question There may be the occasional coach visit each way but mostly these seem to be about having Samsung on the jersey and Man Utd logo on the club website. Suspect

I had the exact same question. Can anyone in one of these clubs tell us exactly what benefit there is to having these types of relationships? Are they coming over here scouting the 03's and 04's to move them to England for the big club?

Liverpool has an exchange program with Liverpool FC. A Couple team went over in March and worked out with the LFC Academy Coaches.

My older played for Solar Chelsea. Can't say for sure what is going on at Andromeda but for Solar, Chelsea picked up the costs for their uniforms. Practice Uniforms (3 different sets), Travel Uniforms (2 different sets) and Game Uniforms (3 different sets) and of course their bags. It was about $1200 worth of gear. Chelsea came over and ran some training sessions and Chelsea sponsored Disney so Solar got to play Chelsea Development Academy at Disney Cup last year.

One other tidbit on Andromeda. They just signed a new contract with the DA Academy. Some speculation had been thrown out there that 2011/2012 would be Andro's last year in DA Academy. Not so. New management has turned things around and they are solid with their DA teams going forward.

ANDROMEDA FC AND TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT TO DELIVER FOOTBALL COACHING COURSES IN TEXAS

Andromeda FC has today announced a partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Development, the coaching division of the English Premier League Soccer Club, that will see the two organizations working together to deliver soccer development in Dallas, Texas.

The aim of the partnership, which will last for an initial two year period, is to give the players and coaches from Andromeda FC access to the Player/Coach Development model incorporated within the Tottenham Hotspur Player/Coach Development structure and philosophy. This will be achieved through a series of coaching programmes in Dallas, as well as providing UK-based visits for selected teams and coaches.

Coaches from Tottenham Hotspur Football Development will work with Andromeda FC to provide players at all levels with the opportunity to experience professional soccer training from Tottenham Hotspur Football Development team of coaches. In addition, the partnership will focus on educating the players around the physical aspects of training and playing and the necessary dietary and nutritional requirements in sport.

The launch of this partnership with Andromeda FC will be held on April 7 at 3pm at Jesuit College Preparatory School at 12345 Inwood Lane, Dallas, Texas, with the first courses running in July 2012.

Commenting on the announcement of the partnership Mark Jones, Head of Tottenham Hotspur Football Development said: "We are delighted to launch our partnership with Andromeda FC. Tottenham Hotspur Football Development aims to create and deliver the best learning environment to encourage and develop the skills and techniques of young players.

“With our innovative programmes, we are creating pathways and opportunities for young players and coaches associated with Andromeda FC to further their football learning under the guidance of Tottenham Hotspur Football Development, by developing effective players and coaches."

John Watters, Chairman of Andromeda FC added: “Tottenham Hotspur Football Development is the ideal fit for our club to align with. We have spent considerable time understanding each other’s goals and objectives and agree that the development of the players and the opportunity to better the lives of young men and women through competitive sport is the key to the partnership.”
