97 BOYS CHALLENGE

So why are they having a 3rd place team in the challenge? Are there 3 spots open?
JC, keeping up with my sons old team Nationals FC. looks like F.C TLAPEHUALA beat them this morning.

Top two get invites and then it is based on where they ranked in challenge games so makes sense they have a 3rd place and a 4th place spot.

I think the winner of the third place match will be the "alternate" in case one of the advancing teams does not make, or if another bye opens up in Classic League and they add an extra team. I believe the alternate actually moved into D3 last season.

But last year they had more openings because of all the shuffling with the Pre-Academy right?

Why does it show Nationals playing in final if Arsenal beat them in the semis?? Anyone have an answer or is this just a typo?

That is for 3rd/4th (in case of an alternate needed). 1st/2nd do not need to play each other.
