I'm all for maintaining field condition and injury prevention -- but if the FCD pro team can practice on the stadium field for 2 hours and day + Friday night football before a "must win" for FCD pro on Saturday -- the boys can't play on the outer PHP fields for a few hours this week?!

Playing on them now will tear them up and the winter will play havoc with them. You'd play on dirt in the spring. As hard as it is, the league needs to look long term. As for PHP...no control over that.

I see your auguement but why leave the fields open last Sunday. There was rain every day up until then and sprinkling as well during game time.

They cancelled the older boys, as they are much harder on the fields.

PHP and Richland closed again tonight (Thursday). No sun = no drying = no playing

Plano fields are closed tonight too. A local weather monitor close to Russell Creek shows the only rain since Sunday was 0.24 inches on Tuesday. But the ground is so saturated that a little rain like that (and no sun) takes forever to dry out. Hopefully, the sun that appeared this afternoon will stay and dry the fields some Friday.
