Looks like Region III team did very well in U-18 bracket with Florida Rush Nike winning the National Championship. Florida Rush Nike beat the East and West Region champions in the preliminary rounds with goal differential of 7 to 1 in the bracket matches. Only the central region champion the Michigan Crew Juniors gave them a real test.

Fox Soccer broadcast the U-19 championship game over the last several days it was a very good match with many of the players from DI programs in college.

The AYSES 94 Gold team from North Texas lost the Florida Rush Nike 1 to 0 in the U-18 preliminary matches in the Region 3 Championships last month in a game that could of gone either way. They later lost in the semi-finals 3 to 2 to the Tulsa Soccer Club which lost to Florida Rush Nike 1 to 0 in the Region III finals. If only AYSES 94 Gold had won looks like they would have been very competitive with the US Region Champions if they had moved forward and would have had a good shot at the U-18 National Championship. Maybe AYSES 94 Gold will come back next year after their first year in college and try again for the U-19 National Championship.

Solar 95 lost their three games in the preliminary rounds. Congratulations to them making it to the Nationals.

For the younger club players, this is the highest tournament in US youth soccer a player can ever play in if your team wins the state cup and the Region III regional championship.

It has been a long time since a North Texas boys team has won the US Youth Soccer National Championship. I think the last team to accomplish this feat was the Andromeda 91 boys prior to formation of the USSF DA program.
