97 11/4 and 11/5 Games

Game tonight at PHP
FCDB - DTR, critical game for both teams as they are tied in points and looking to go to Dallas cup, prediction, Blue 2 - Red 1

Tomorrows games
Andromeda - DTRS, a South win will put them 8 points ahead of Andromeda, an Andromeda win will put them only 2 points behind South. This is the biggest game of this first half of the season, and I got lucky because its at PHP.

Solar Red - FCDG, these two teams are also tied with 7 points, big game for both. Prediction, 1 - 1 tie.

Love those predictions.
I will take FCDB by 2 over DTR

DTRS by 3 over AR

Eventhough FCDG beat SR in their last meeting I akso have a tie but 2-2.

I just noticed, we only play one of the 'seven-pointers' - so, it will mostly be a beat-each-other-up affair for DCup.
I think 16 points will get you in - which will be tough for almost all the 'club seven' teams. I can't figure out who has the easiest path, all look pretty even - looks like SR's play will determine quite a bit given their schedule or if FCDY happens to slide in any game it will help their opponent quite a bit (Solar/FCDG/DTR).
Anyone know if it's 3-4-5 teams from this age group for DCup? Or, when they will determine that?
Everyone but DTRS controls their own destiny for DCup. How cool is that?

clue, in previous years in has been the top 4 teams at the end of the fall season. I know the older teams might have a change due do the Acadeny league but the 97s are unaffected by those teams. The date that was posted previously was 11/14 as the deadline date for all US teams for invitation. You are correct about 16 pts will be a top 4 place. FCDY plays 3 of the 5 7 pt teams so they will determine alot. Hopefully they can win those three games because we do not play them. FCDB plays 4 of the 7 pt teams so they control their own destiny. It looks like DTRS and AR are locks unless Tej. or FCDG can pull upsets over AR, which is not likely.

I do not know how our game will end but we have already been robbed of a goal and these the worst refs I have ever seen.

We lost 2-0. Thank goodness that the goal that was not a goal did not come back to bite the team. DTR scored two of the nicest goals I have seen all year. We played hardd but I do not think we really had a chance to win the game.

Now for the pissed off emotional stuff. First off our parents got a little rowdy but that did not start till after the no goal call. Yes that is an excuse but what the heck.
Things I expect to see at a game.
1. Missed calls does not bother me to much nobody is perfect.
2. Delaying the game, if a team gets up a goal and that is their best stategy so be it.
3. Chippiness in a close game, the kids emotions run high and things happen.

Things I do not expect to see.
1. Our parents getting as loud as they did including myself
2. Refs walking off the field at halftime with an arm around the opposing coach. Maybe nothing was going on but it just looks bad.
3. Refs antagonising the losing teams parents by laughing and waving bye to them. I rarely get to a point where I want to physically hurt someone but I was at that point tonight.
4. The refs walking off the field with the other teams coaches and players, I just find that weird and unproffessional.
For those who think I am a ref basher, I am not, or a sore loser, yea maybe. I would have been a fun game to watch if the refs did not riun it even in the lose. Much respect to the DTR team and parents.

Wow, that didn't resolve much, actually both teams are still in the hunt. It did make FCDB and FCDY's role in DCup much larger. I'm just hoping we don't lay an egg and/or teams just don't fall apart (I'd like a bunch of games in the last weekend to be extremely meaningful)! Very good early game this Saturday.

Ended 2-2 It was a great football game U.S style Ref let it get alittle overboard.

Tough game for SR, up 2-0 and had to settle for the tie. FCDG scored both goals on two brilliant long free kicks, keeper had no chance on either.

Very impressive score by the Royal boys as they get ready for another difficult test on Saturday. Game of the weekend if you ask me.
