opening day scores for D1,D2,and D3 in the 99 ranks

looks like there was quite a few suprises today

D1

Solar Red 3 Wizards 1 no suprise there
FCD Premier 4 or 5 DT "top 5" 0 for sure no suprise there
Liverpool 6 FCD youth 2 ouch game was close til the mid part of the 2nd half and then liverpool just pulled away!
Barcelona 4 DTS 2 now this is was the shocker
DTR 2 FCD central 1 but was also told it was a 2-2 tie? can a representative confirm?

United 3 Ntx strikers 3 suprising but with United having so many injurys and just a couple of subs i guess its not?

FCD Gold over FCD Blue by 2 goals but not sure of the exact score?
Ayses beat Solar but not sure of the score?

It was what would be expected with new team...

I assume you mean with FCD having a new team? What about the re-built Eagles? The beat FCD Blue in Austin last weekend. Was that to be expected?

I thought the rebuilt Eagles looked pretty good.

Certainly more time playing together to gel.

The new blue has a great coach, give him a few weeks...I bet they start looking better. How did his red team do?

How did Barcelona score 4 on DTS....I thought DTS was suppose to be the frontrunner for the D1 title and Barcelona lost all of their players...Were there DTS players missing?

Liverpool scored 6 goals? Quite a difference from the last time I saw them play...They must have added some scoring power up top...

Well my friend...Barcelona lost two strikers but replaced them with a new #9 who scored twice on Texans. The same core players remain and the style of play remains. DTS has a alot of new players but they are solid...takes time to gel but they will still be formidable.....Actually this will be a very interesting season as alot of these teams have new players. Hope that helps.

now i was thinking with Barcelona losing 7 starters that would surely cost them? but 4 practices a week and coaches and veteran players working hard to teach the new players the "barca style" has paid off and as far as DTS they still will be fighting for the title still just a bit of tweaking before their running on all 8 cylinders and a turbo!

nah liverpool is a very talented and organized team and basically the same exact team for the past few years no new great scoring threats more like FCD having 10 new players with most from lower divisions just learning their style of play and the speed of D1 the game was a battle at first 1-1 at the half then 2-2 and then mid way thru the second half LP scores two back to back goals that just sapped the life out of them and we all know once that happens more goals will follow they will improve as the season goes along but if they dont get it together before the 1/2 way point the relegation will likely be their destiny along with "top 5"
