Karen Flanagan ...Memorial Service info
Dear Soccer Friends:
It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you of the passing today of Karen Flanagan, longtime NTSSA Board Member, US Youth Soccer Region III Girls ODP Chairperson, local volunteer, and soccer enthusiast.
Karen had been fighting a valiant battle against cancer for the last few years, during which she continued her efforts on behalf of soccer, most notably in her work with the US Youth Soccer and North Texas Soccer Olympic Development Programs. Few who knew Karen could doubt her commitment and passion, her good nature, and on occasion, her flash of Irish temper.
Karen will be sorely missed by all who knew her and we ask that you keep her husband, Mike, her sons, Brian and Brad and her entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they move forward during this time of loss and sorrow.
Thank you.
John Sutter

Re: Karen Flanagan ...Memorial Service info
Karen will be deeply missed by the NTX soccer family. She has worked tirelessly to promote youth soccer not only here in NTX, but throughout the country. She and Mike are truly an integral part of the NTX soccer community. My heart is heavy at the news of her passing, but what a legacy she leaves with her sons such an important part of the NTX soccer community, as well. As neighbors, her family is one of the many reasons we were first introduced to select soccer in NTX which has led to all three of our boy's involvement in it, as well as our family's involvement with Dallas Cup. We are grateful to have known such a wonderful lady. God bless Mike, Brad, Brian and their families as they grieve over losing such an wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. My family's thoughts and prayers are with their entire family.
