Not sure i'm counting correctly but it looks like NTX won 5 or 6 age groups between girls and boys. Looks like the small sided thing is catching on around here. Congrats to Leon! They beat some amazing teams from across the country.

I know there were quite a few from Texas that won including Azzuri 02 boys, Dallas City Mob 04 boys and Texas Elite 05 boys.

It was fun to root for all the Texas teams.

Not too sure about the "world champs" thing. I didn't see a lot of Spanish and Brazilian teams listed on the website.

I liken it to the MLB claim to have the World Champions in the World Series that encompasses North America and the lower parts of Canda. ( are the BLueJays still a team?)

Having said that, I didn't have my kids get the world champions tatto just yet. If they held this thing in Sau Paulo, then you have something.

I'm with you on the hiperbole used; there's at least a couple of these national small sided events Kick it and Live.....at least Live is more rational naming the winners "National Champions".
